Good Morning and WOW! Lots of SP (super posts)!!!!!!

Karen:How can we make the dream happen? Was that the plane until x-hub confiscated it?

TIG- What do you do for normal fun?

MtnMun and Bachar: Both great products! Mtnmun is right, you both need some good marketing. If I can ever shed my business, and believe me I am trying, I will work for free til I make you both money and then I'll want some.

Sanjan- Why????????????????

John, I'm ready for a pair of those cool shoes. Which pair most resemble the mythos in fit and performance.

Karen, I have had a secret fantasy of owning one of those water bush planes. What a great dream.

Lynn, I look forward to your marketing skill.

Lynne, if I recall correctly, alot of yosemite people wanted the medical clinic job.

Not working for the company- so your off the radar, pays ok, you get private housing-which is a rare luxury when you work in the Valley...work is not that hard..... work nights = climb & ski days

I had a friend that had that job, people were waiting for him to quit.

Mtnmun: looking forward to it, did all the marketing for our business.

Nita: Thanks for the info. From lodge waitress to female janitor, my fantasy job is exploding upward beyond my wildest dreams.

Raydog, You're too nice! But I won't tell anybody and ruin the personna you're working to cultivate! Your words are true. ST is the best shrink EVER and puts up with my ramblings. No grief group needed for me with y'all on the Taco. Thanks for the nice words about big D.

Nita: Thanks for the suggestion. Exploring all my options. Really am considering some fun, dramatic change.

Mtnmun: If you are serious about marketing your work, why don't you email me and give me your bio etc. I can at least think about ideas. But maybe you have someone to do that already? Don't want to get in the way.

It just occurred to me that none of the jobs you guys have posted are really a fantasy. (Except maybe orange crush, but hey oc, I think you could pull it off.)

We're all just in the wrong profession!

Except for Bachar who is living the fantasy. He just needs to get his shoes off the ground, so to speak. Ha,ha!

Somehow I found entertainment rigging, and it suits all but one of the criteria for a dream job. If money wasn't a consideration I think I would
build homes in Africa or Asia.

SteveW: When you do a good job nobody hears about it. But, when something goes wrong, everyone hears about it. I have had great results by Locker's resoles and I abuse my shoes. I'm sure if you send them back he will fix them. Give his livelyhood a break.

I've got the dream job...

...it's just not in the dream location.

But, on balance, things are great; and I've got an eye out for that dream location if it ever pops up!

The other day I almost bought some gold panning equipment. Like a spinning spiral gold pan rig that runs on a car battery.

Just sitting next to a river and picking out gold chunks!

Anybody out there ever try gold panning?

I hear there's still a bunch of gold in these Eastern Sierra streams?

Gold mining on the Yuba River is very popular in summer. Many people have claims in the town of Washington and all along the feeder streams of the Yuba.

In the pre environmental days the water canons blasted away the mountains in the Omega and Alpha diggings amoung many more to search for gold. There are many abandoned shafts you can buy the rights to.

That said I am sure the gold mining will be in full swing this year. My daughter found a nuggett there a few years back.
