Put all the stoners on a scuttled barge, give them a few buckets, see how long they stay afloat

If your woman agrees to an hour alone with me, she can then decide who's what.

Oh you big stud . . . what an odd thing to say.

Gnome smokes weed...which should make everyone stop and question its use in their own lives.

(beat...1...2...)

The whole point of smoking dope when I started was to get higher.

The whole point of climbing rocks when I started was the same.

Different people, different reactions. My wife can use it everyday. For me its no more than once every few months because even the smallest amounts mean many lost hours where I am good for nothing but listening to music, staring at the sky and remembering nothing. It is great that we can each find out for ourselves what works rather than having to beg for permission and prescriptions.

To each his own but I never enjoyed pot. I hung in the Valley for six straight years in the early to mid 70’s. I experimented with all of the drugs that came thru Camp 4 but, in the end, I decided clear headed reality was for me. Pot was my least favorite drug, it seemed to suck out any ambition. Someone once said to me...” hey dude, don’t you want to be mellow?” My answer...life is short and I don’t want to experience any of it in an altered state.

Although I don’t partake I fully support the recent movement around the country to legalize it’s recreational use. Like I said, different strokes for different folks.

Agreed.

I have RA ,I can either take Celebrex at 7 dollars a pill to cloak the symptoms and deal with some terrible side effects,or,as my doctor now says “smoke something dank”.

A foolish thing was to prevent research on the effectiveness of pot as a drug, for decades. Claiming that it couldn't have medicinal properties without science likely delayed new treatments, patents, and industries. Other drugs have a similar origin and effects as pot. Why not research it's use?

That said, there are a lot of millenials with chronic headaches. With new strains, and increased potencies, it may be foolish to think that there can't be unforseen consequences. We seem to go through drug trends as a society, and our policies aren't always guided by science.

Business is booming in the Central Valley.

Currently, Vern and I have to drive to Ceres, though.

This same retailer is opening a shop in Merced soon.

Hmm... sniff sniff...Trolls?

Normally when I do a good solo I get an incredible adrenalin rush that lasts for the rest of the day and sometimes carrys over into the next day or even week.

I would argue against solo being a la natural thing to be doing in the first place. Therefore, your guilty of seeking the high from it, and not seeking the purity of being it. Demoted two points.

Second, drugs do not create neuron receptor sites in your body.

Hmm... sniff sniff...Trolls?

Normally when I do a good solo I get an incredible adrenalin rush that lasts for the rest of the day and sometimes carrys over into the next day or even week.

Edit:

Your hooked on the adrenalin rush, not on climbing.

When I’m doing a bad solo I get an incredible adrenalin rush, and then I focus on the next move. Afterwards, I wonder WTF am I doing?

You were, “ reveling in the climb and rideing the natural high...” Ice climbing is aid and therefore not natural. Distorting reality rating 5.13c

You mention using alcohol. Richard Feynman was a theoretical physicist who stopped using alcohol after he considered it might affect his thinking.

I’m no doctor Phil. You seem to still be questioning or why would you even bother with the post to begin with? You unconsciously want the pitch forks and tar so you have to do battle? Glory in the struggle? I might be projecting here.

Anyway. Doctors RX drugs using the PDR. It’s just a reference, a guide line, and in my opinion, shake and bake pharmacology. It has no basis in an individuals reality, just statistics of test groups and averages of outcomes. Unless you have a lot of money/insurance/time doctors don’t have the time to individually figure you out.

If your really on a purist kick, then kick the booze too. I never did, I always had an excuse not too.

Good luck and remember,"the best climbers are the ones having the most fun": Jeff Lowe?

dude your talking gibberish....
Took me at least a year of being completely sober to start to feel good. Most of the early stages of the process you feel like sh#t because you don't have your crutch drugs.

In 1992 when I was first diagnosed with RA ,(a 4 day hospital stay followed by a close call with pneumonia)I was handed a lifetime prescription for Motrin, then a prescription drug known as Ibuprofen .

Our bike shop started selling CBD today,an alternative to ansaids that works for me , I hope you as well.
