Yes, I know that AuntWhistle did a lot of lead stuff, but it wasn't John badmouthing Zeppelin, therefore my disdain for Pete the baby at the moment.

Paul McCartney is above Les Claypool and Victor Wooten is number 10? Looks like the readers don't know what they are talking about.

I'm a little late to the party and maybe too young to know better, but what Bout the velvet underground and bob Dylan. I think they influenced more of my generations bands than all of the above. Also the dead continued on to become immensely popular and continued touring regularly to audiences young and old for many years after which the British rockers only did mega reunion tours that were basically for old rich guys at 5-10 times the ticket price. If I had to pick o e of the three to see though it would LZ.

It's okay little brother. The effect of the glue wll wear off in a month or so, and none of us will hold anything you say in the meantime against you.

Speaking of Townsend look-alikes

I've heard that once or twice before... (:

When I had shoulder-length hair back in my Valley days I got even more comments

Zep that did not steal most everything claimed to be owned crashed and burned.

Not incomprehensible, just incomplete. Just try typing on an iPhone, I dare ya.

The Zeppelin that did not gain it's reputation by appropriating the work of others as their own, crashed and burned. Perhaps this one should too.

I still listen to the band though.

Well, yeah.

Had a party in maybe 78 or 79, and we got the idea that it would be fun to play some Zeppelin albums really loud at the 78 rpm setting. Pretty funny, all good fun, then a friend came over and said maybe we should stop, cause it was really offending some people. Looked over through the haze and saw a couple of dudes I didn't know shooting daggers out of their eyes at us. We were profaning their holiest of holies, it seems. But it was our house, heh. Eventually they left.
