bluering posted Awesome! I have identified the problem. HDDJ. Keep festering in pools of racism, while some of us swim in joy.
It's true! Racism is only a problem if you talk about it!

Obviously self awareness is not something you are aware of Bluering.
If I was you I'd nuke this thread before you choke on your ankle.

I don't think you are racist Blue. I don't even know you personally so I'm not qualified to make that sort of judgement.
My problem is that this thread you have started brings nothing positive to the forum & your attitude towards the topic seems wishy washy at best.
Basically it sounds like you are spewing about something you know nothing about in between contradictory statements. In other words it's a lame troll about an obvious touchy subject.
Peace out.

What makes me unqualified to speak about race-relations?
I think I'm perfect for the job.

You are doing a really excellent job of illustrating race relations in America. Keep up the strong work.

All Tribes hate the others.
Even babies raised by one race will flinch at the sight of another color.
Dogs do it too.
It's based on what is familiar to you as an infant.
That's why mixed-race marriages will save the world.
When everyone is colored - who will care?

my take on this is... its dying out.
^^^This was my Generation's hope as we endured growing up in the South during the late 60's thru the early 70's...the hope that once the old Massa's had died off that the world would change.
I had a front row seat for everything from being half-raised by a Black Mammy to the burning of Atlanta, saw sermons by Martin Luther King and Billy Graham. Even shook hands with Jesse J when I was 10.
Hell's Bell's - my Grandma's family even owned a plantation AND slaves!
Was a 5th grade honor student crossing guard when the first integration buses rolled into our school. Saw the cops gas kids, parents scream words no Christian should say aloud, saw terror in the eyes of 6 year old Black kids, saw hatred and fear so close it dripped on me like thick rain.
And through it all - those of us who were kids in the late 60's in South Carolina truly believed that this madness would end when those who hated - those old f*#ks from another time and place - when they finally died - the madness would finally end. I counted my own Grandparents among those hold-outs - nothing would change their minds - so wait the f*#kers out was the motto.
It seemed to be working by the mid 70's - white kids were mesmerized by black culture. My sparring partner on the wrestling team was a black kid - neither of us caught anything and neither of us dropped dead.
Jump ahead 40 years where we should be so past this ancient crap that no one even remembers to talk about it - but f*#k no - somewhere between bad economies and Fox news - the racist bastards have returned from the dead and infected a whole new generation of haters.
I'm thinking it's the last gasps of the zombie white race and like all last gasps will peter out in a few more years.
At least I thought this would be true.
Now I hear the two nine year old black girls we pay to walk our dog rip apart the "Mexicans".
The half-Navaho/half- Oaxacan 18 year old girl that my wife tutors goes on about the lazy Blacks.
The 3rd and 4th generation Hispanic guys at my work bitch about the Mixtecs, the Guatos and the Salvies - "illegal f*#kers can't even speak Spanish"!
My lily-white neighbor swears the Asians are why his kid didn't get accepted at Cal Berkeley.
I'm thinking that racism will never die.
I'm thinking that only the color changes.
Sad.

My lily-white neighbor swears the Asians are why his kid didn't get accepted at Cal Berkeley.
because they study their ass's off and score high on the SAT's?
or does he think they get accepted because of "affirmative action" and so his kid got screwed?

bouldering88,
interesting that the Asians are against Affirmative Action, they know how smart and capable their kids are and don't want one denied a college slot because that slot could go to a designated "other minority"
they ARE confident people!
I do believe in some, carefully controlled Affirmative Action, but only when its application does not deprive another equally or better qualified applicant from the opportunity
thank you for that link, too
