2. I have no gun but... cops come after the fact, crime is going up and i've got a new baby and wife and home I have to protect. We live near gangland. So the thought has crossed my mind. I also know a man in jail because he killed his daughters abusive boyfriend (the bullet passed through and hit the daughter) thats irony. Shitty situations abound.If the laws really worked .....? My point is that I'd rather waste a dangerous meth-head and live with the consequences than be unable to protect my family from same. When I was single I could run away. Not so much anymore.When I lived in Switzerland I learned that most Swiss have guns at home(and military training). Very low murder rates. Guns are very democratic. If every unfortunate Islamic woman in Afghanistan who fears the stick had a 22 under her burka the Taliban kooks (yeah I said it) might think twice.

Copeland also wrote: "While I believe the problems associated with minorities in this country are momentous, I am not phobic."

About 20 black people live in Wolfeboro, a town of 6,300 residents in the scenic Lakes Region, in the central part of New Hampshire. The town manager's office said none of the police department's 12 full-time officers is black or a member of another minority. One of its part-time officers is black.

The vast majority of men between the ages of 20 and 30 are conscripted into the militia and undergo military training, including weapons training. The personal weapons of the militia are kept at home as part of the military obligations; Switzerland thus has one of the highest (well regulated) militia gun ownership rates in the world

In October 2007, the Swiss Federal Council decided that the distribution of ammunition to soldiers shall stop and that all previously issued ammo shall be returned. By March 2011, more than 99% of the ammo has been received. Only special rapid deployment units and the military police still store ammunition at home today.[5]

To carry a loaded firearm in public or outdoors (and for an individual who is a member of the militia carrying a firearm other than his Army-issue personal weapons off-duty), a person must have a Waffentragbewilligung (gun carrying permit), which in most cases is issued only to private citizens working in occupations such as security.[13] It is, however, quite common to see a person serving military service to be en route with his rifle, albeit unloaded.

The annual rate of homicide by any means per 100,000 population was 0.70, which is one of the lowest in the world.[19] The annual rate of homicide by guns per 100,000 population was 0.52.
