There are some crazy ass anti-government motherf*#kers out there. We used to run across them when I worked for the forest service. Full blown armed compounds, demanding sucession, etc. I once fought a fire (on federal land) where the BLM had to send out officers to guard us from some nutcase militia group! These are not peaceful people with a quirky view of the constitution. They are armed and delusional.
Something about the desert brings it out I guess.

Some idiot decided the federal government doesn't have the right to own land in HIS state. After decades of not paying grazing fees and several court orders, the BLM came to remove his illegal cattle. So he and his family threatened federal officers and rounded up a bunch of anarchists with guns to take on the The Man. Ron and his ilk all got hardons and are busy polishing their guns.

The BLM guys? No, I don't think they shot anyone this time around.
There's a theory that the protesters were going around pointing guns at the feds, but the feds were in a good mood that day so they decided that having guns pointed at them wasn't such a big deal and no one needed to be arrested or anything.
There's another theory that anyone who thinks that's what happened needs his head examined.
Here's an idea: everyone who thinks the the protesters were going around pointing assault rifles at feds, go out and get a gun (assault rifle if possible, but Biden's double-barrel shotgun or whatever you can your hands on will work), walk to an armed federal officer, and point your gun at him. Please report back, if possible.

I'm surprised that more of you aren't upset at BLM bringing out a swat team. The government started escalating this situation and finally someone with sense stepped in to avoid a disaster.
Why not use the courts to remedy this? If he refuses court orders, no problem, put liens on all his property and possessions, seize all proceeds from selling cows...you know, boring detective work that doesn't involve tanks and swat teams. I guess it's easier to show up with guns than get court orders and do all that paperwork...

You haven't paid the slightest attention this has already and repeatedly gone through the legal court process. Bundy lost every time.
I guess it's easier to show up with a militia of armed insurrectionists than comply with the law. And the only ones with sense enough to avoid a disaster were the Feds.
There I fixed your faulty logic for you..

Haha oh god this is a great post. You are exactly describing the situation that is CURRENTLY HAPPENING. The dude ignored numerous court orders and the BLM showed up to confiscate his trespassing cows and Ron's sage grouse massacring friends showed up screaming "this is are country" and waving guns around. The BLM brought in bigger guns to protect themselves and now you're wondering why they didn't do exactly what they already did.
