RJ????

There is a law against older males wearing Speedo's in Idontno.

One of "them" right-wing laws that makes sense to me.

However! Like any good Idontno native, I do love my chain saw!

Jan, no cell reception at all out there. People would have to come into the ranger/visitor center to post. Expect a flurry of pictures by the weekend - Mouse had his camera out all night.

Em and I met up at 2 yesterday and managed to sneak in four pitches before dinner. The food was great - Wayno did an amazing job. MANY bottles of red wine to choose from!

I met lots of great people last night and got to reunite with some favorite people. I stopped trying to absorb new info when I introduced myself to Spider's brother for the second time. I blame hypoglycemia, not the wine.

OMG, SO Much Fun!

The climbing is wonderful, needless to say.

Chef Wayno is so awesome. The two meals so far have been amazing.

Lots of good wine.

Wonderful people.

There will be many pictures to come.

now I remember the miles of washboard roads to get to the crags when I used to drive up from Wendover. Have fun.

I stopped by the group camp on my way out yesterday. Everybody seemed to be out climbing :-)

It was a bit hot even in the shade on Tuesday. It's supposed to be better today.

I was getting a bit of cell service (Verizon) at or near campsite 53.

Have fun!

I had to leave early yesterday, but really enjoyed the gathering of the Clan! Got to hang out with lots of absolutely wonderful folks this trip, too numerous to mention. But...special kudos to Wayno for his wonderful meals we all shared together. The wine flowed like water and all enjoyed!

Mouse was there with his camera and is sure to post up a bunch of great photos of the event. I didn't take too many pix this trip; too busy BS-ing with other Tacos from the Taco Stand, I suppose!

Here are a few to tantalize and serve as a prelude of those to follow from others...

I have other photos to upload, but some difficulties with Windows 8 are baffling me. I'll overcome these issues and post more later.

Yesterday's forecast for City of Rocks was 80% chance of rain, but it held off until about 4:00 P.M.----then the storm hit hard with high winds and about 1/3 " of rain.

Inside the fly during the storm. We had moved Chef Wayno's dinner prep to one end, and we crowded into the other.

The storm cleared for dinner and a large & welcome fire afterwards.

All's well that ends well!

This morning, most of the remaining group left, but the Donini's are climbing with his old pal Jack & his wonderful wife Pat.

Big thanks to Wayno & Masha for all their hard work and wonderful food & wine. The event would have been much less tasty & fun without them.

I do want to give a big "thank-you" to the "Worker-Bees" that helped so much in camp. These are the people that bring some yummy & special snacks or deserts. They are also the people that look around for some work that needs doing, or ask to help. You know who you are-------and I am so grateful for all that you do!

Namaste!
