I'll be heading out tomorrow for Choss Creek. Long drive. Then some fresh food shopping on the way in to COR on Monday. Cut up some salsa, grill some meat and crack a few bottles. 7-7:30 for Dinner # 1. Any questions? Non-controversial, please.

I just got an updated US Weather Service forecast for the next 7 days at COR

The good news is: high temps will be in the mid-70's F., down from the mid 80's.

The interesting news is: there is an increased chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

The best news is: our campsite has great views of incoming thunderstorms, especially at night.

Yeah....the thunderstorm chance jumped from 8% to 10 to 15 %, scary stuff for you maritime climate guys. Leave your ice axes home...they act like lightening rods. You'll feel naked without them but it is summer. By the way, do you guys own shorts?

James: The gravitron as a gravitational lepton has long been the secret of fat man's slab climbing...they exchange faster...but they change your spin.

Good work folks!

We did more prep-work yesterday, including dry-roasting the first batch of "kosher" riblets. Luckily -----Spider Savage and then Heidi's sister showed up to test them and some wines to see if they were suitable for sharing at the COR party.

They were deamed worthy, those that survived.

Then it was up to the "viewing deck" to enjoy the Significan Solstic Sunset over Choss Creek.

Angela and I leave for COR tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones. I have a gut feeling that the campfire crowd will be lively....till 10:00 pm and perhaps beyond!
