Thank Deities that Grippa answered Big Mike's rack question. I was going to wait until today to do it. I have retired my 1979 vintage Friends in favor of Camalots, but despite buying some new Black Diamond stoppers last year I am still using Chouinard stoppers from the early 1970's.

Recent photos of me leading something are becoming increasingly rare!

So far I have three cases of assorted Italian wines. No cabs or merlots but there might be some of those grapes in some of the blends. You probably won't even know it though. There will be some nice whites in the mix and I'm looking for some cool pinks. Summer is Rose weather, folks.

Jim has it right, but I'm not quite in the dawn patrol.

Early morning, lunchtime siesta, then later afternoon works great there when it's hot. Better hot than rain or snow!

I'm sorry to have to miss meeting and hanging with all you fine folks. Obligations around here will keep me locked in the Bubble for the foreseeable future. I sincerely hope you all have a wonderful adventure filled time.
Cheers, philo.

Ps please help bump the Jeff Lowe Celebration this coming Wednesday.

How about a map or two for those that don't have a fix on the Twin Sisters Group Camp?

Since we are down to a blessed 19 people camping in group camp, our shared fees have gone up a smidge to $15.00 each total for 4 nights.

Wayno's dinner fees continue at $25.00 per person for 4 nights, or $6.25 a night, plus your help in preparing, cooking, and cleaning. No problem to pay me or Wayno for each or both, during the campout, with check or cash. I actually made up a spreadsheet to keep track of this confusing matter.

The Twin Sisters stand out pretty well.

Wow! This is going to be great fun. I will try to be restrained until Monday!

Namaste!

Sadness reigns here.

Mari couldn't get more than one day off next week, so we'll take a long weekend in Squamish, but miss out on the City of Rocks get-together.

Climbing-wise, it's no big deal, because Squamish is, well, Squamish, and climbing there instead of CoR is no loss. But it's still a bummer because I was really looking forward to meeting so many of you.

So, best wishes for a great week, and I look forward to spending time with you all in the future.

Sunset tonight in Choss Creek Idontno at about 9:15. It is pretty-much semi-dark here at 10:00 PM.

Donini dawn comes at about 5:30 A.M. Mountain Time---but I suspect sunrise in our camp won't happen until about 7:30-8:00 A.M.

I will likely be up and making coffee with the old guys by around 7-7:30 A.M.

Give my regards to the Squamish crew.

I was going to have you make your Killer Guacamole.

Yeah, and if I'd done that, you'd all smell like a bus full of senile donkeys coming home from a garlic-eating contest. So count your blessings.

Alpine start from a cheap room just north of the Bishop financial district. Bonus, it's right next to the fish cleaning area.

No more alarming photo-manips from Cosmic, so far.

Is anyone bringing white gas for a Coleman, or do I need to get some? I'm all out.

Wayno? Your Coleman two burner is that old??? If you can bear to not take it, we have a newer imitation Coleman two-burner that uses Propane.

I do have some white gas you can grab, or we can use the newer stove which also has Piezo igniters.
