(Sorry in advance for my venting if you're one of the people who's need for companionship outweighs your distaste for picking up sh*t)

Just bought a house and from the time I got off work until it got too dark I've been picking up dog crap while my wife has been vacuuming loads of hair from the previous owners' "best friends"

It seems like if you're a male in the USA it's taboo to not like annoying, up in your business, loud, expensive and rank animals.

Who cares if they're at the crags, they suck everywhere!

And sorry to tell you, dog lovers, but animals don't experience higher level emotions like envy, regret, empathy, or LOVE. It's called the limbic system and mostly in the amygdala which, as a matter of fact, is not the same as in humans. i.e. they're missing the important parts. Go ahead and argue that they have higher level emotions but it's the scientific equivalent of arguing that humans have wings; we can observe and measure its absence, too bad, Scruffy doesn't love you.

The end.

I can't be the only one out there!?

Dogs are OK
However, too many of their parental units do not own up to their responsibility.

Dogs love me.

I really like & enjoy hanging with a very few dogs, and dislike the rest of the barking, snarling, jumping & pawing, carrion-rolling, lawn-shitting, car-chasing, bad-smelling, slobbering, farting, ill-mannered lot.

And I really don't like their owners, who encourage them to be aggressive & nasty dogs.

Chew-toy ski pole handles. (Yum! Any more of these?)

Cork-handled fly-rods. (Oh, that has a delicious-smelling "nose!")

Approach shoes. (Neat--These taste like chicken!)

Sometimes cuddly don't cut it.

Sometimes it takes more determination than we have to deal with Fido.

And picking up doggie-doo is a great big turn-off.

Never again.

Did you consider buying a cat-, bird-, snake-, or brown recluse- owner type house instead?

Did they fail to divulge that they had a dog or dogs?

Have you considered a neutron-bomb like device that would destroy only dog feces and/or hair?

Do have insurance?

I have an old, grumpy cat that barfs twice a day and continuously dribbles pee everyplace he goes. However, he loves people. He is filthy and stinks. Please come and pick him up. I assure you he is not a dog.

You cannot have my dog. She is sweet, shits and pees only when she can get outside and loves me, other dogs, all people and even the cat. All she wants from life is play, sleep and food - in that order.

I'll give $100 if you come get the cat. I am willing to negotiate up to perhaps $1000 if you take the cat depending on details.

I'll break your knees if you try to take the dog.

the majority of dog misbehavior is a reflection of a lousy owner. Some dogs are pretty much untrainable, but most you can work with if you start them early and remain consistent.

Don't hate the dog. Recognize that the owner is probably…. well.

Ha! I can deal with cats and am neither for nor against them. They just kinda exist. $100 is tempting, especially since my wife wants a new cat with the new house. The barf is not so tempting...

Edit: I will continue to hate the dog until I meet one that's not annoying. Those old almost dead ones are cool because they just lie there. Owners are also cool because they're human, save for the fact that they have a dog

LOL…I'm mostly the opposite. I have known lots of great dogs, but fewer great people.

Plenty of pain in the ass dogs too.. but again that was mostly because the owner was pathetic.

Use the voice and tone of that lady in the video of the bear attack on her kayak..

Oh. I just don't know why fluffy keeps chewing up your yard. I told her and told her not to do that. But dogs will be dogs I guess..

Chocolate
is BAD for parrots.
Did the parrot get sick?
No. The bird is smarter than the owner. It won't eat food that it has shat on.

i don't know, man.
dogs don't bug me.
they don't bite me,
they don't bark at me.
and they don't
shite in my way.

you just gotta be
exceedingly weird.

like an owl.
you ever see a dog
bark at an owl?
no. they just
cast their eyes
up, and screw
their head a few
degrees curious.

i get dogs.

once though,
a bulldog
grabbed my collie
by the neck
and proceeded
to kill her
in the vice.

i lowered down
and thrust
a warning shoulder
into the bulldog's
breast.

something of a spit
shower and yelp
issued of its maw
and my collie took
leave, right sharpish.

cool, i got to
talk about myself
again.

thanks for the padded
thread.
