I keep worrying about the pig. Make sure it's dead before burying. I don't like cruelty to poor dumb animals.

Karl,
Could you please leave the "facts" out of this? TGT wants to make wild, unfounded accusations. And when you post facts, it kinda makes him look like a fool.
It's Christmas. Can't we all just get along for ONE day?

Yeah, not far from here they are massing for a reenactment of Washington crossing the Delaware to attack Trenton.
It was raining earlier. Ice storm melt has probably raised the river a bit, but probably not much ice, if any to deal with.
I wonder if these guys practice their attacks in the Poconos with paint balls....

Cloudy and Windy Feels Like 57°F
UV Index: 0 Low
Dew Point: 54°F
Humidity: 90%
Visibility: 9.0 miles
Pressure: 29.81 inches and steady
Wind: From the West Southwest at 24 gusting to 36 mph
Good chance the river might be a bit foggy.
But with 9 mile visibility, they better be partying or sleeping.
At least the wind is blowing in the right direction.

There is no doubt that once in awhile some terrorism happens. The problem is that the previous administration used fear to garner support and votes near elections or as a distraction.
How many times in the past 8 years did the administration jack up the terror level or even close a bridge because of some immediate terror threat, only to find out they used information from years earlier that was questionable to start with? Too much crying wolf and making a few marginal angry people with no experience or resources into grave dangers to national security

"In 2003 deputy assistant attorney general John G. Malcolm tried to convince congress that file-sharing software supported terrorism. "Organized crime groups frequently referred to as 'warez' groups...are frequently engaged in many types of criminal enterprises, including supporting terrorist activities.""
"n August 2, Roll Call issued a breaking news report, warning of a suspected terror threat against the U.S. Capitol:
Capitol Police officials have stepped up the department’s security presence on Capitol Hill in response to intelligence indicating the increased possibility of an al-Qaida terrorist attack on Congress sometime between now and Sept. 11.
Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS) ratcheted up the rhetoric, “ominously” advising that “Congress needed to pass changes to terrorist surveillance laws before leaving for the August recess and warned that otherwise ‘the disaster could be on our doorstep.’”
Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA), speaking at a FISA event yesterday organized by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, stated that the terror claims were “part of a well-orchestrated campaign” by the administration to politicize the FISA debate. She referred to the efforts as part of the “Rovian strategy of using terrorism as a wedge political issue.” Harman asserted that the intelligence agencies “knew” the terror claims propagated by conservative lawmakers were false:
That specific intelligence claim, it turned out, was bogus; the intelligence agencies knew that –apparently had communicated to Congress or to relevant people that it was bogus, the source was unreliable. But that communication wasn’t in any published form until the day that the Senate passed the amendments to FISA."

"CNN just ran a story indicating they have confirmed the recent terror threat on NYC's subway system was a hoax.
“Authorities said earlier the interrogation of three suspects arrested by U.S. forces in Iraq has so far produced no information to corroborate a possible threat.”
Two days earlier.
The debunked threat was two days debunked when Bloomberg made it a story worthy of displacing his debate no-show. As soon as Bloomberg announced the press conference to scare the bejezus out of us, D.C. officials started scratching their heads and whispering.
“There was no there there,” one anonymous senior Department of Homeland Security counter-terrorism official said, explaining that the credibility of the threat seemed to suggest that the city was overreacting."

Hey it's another "if they were doing X instead of Y you'd be Z" thread. These threads are always good. Any thread where white guys express their feelings of oppression and self-pity are grand. And boy those liberals....defending those who threaten True Patriots again. Thank god there are heroes like bluering and TGT to set them straight.
Merry X-Mas!
