Porkchop,
german engineering?
You know something I don't?

A 12X scope on a .44?
How far you trying to reach?

I almost bought one of those carbines but,... NO DETACHABLE MAGAZINE.

Wayno,
the advantage of caseless ammo is weight savings.
People who don't carry hundreds of rounds will continue to enjoy the benefits brass cartridges.

Classic old school, Fatty.

But are you tough enough to use the 37 like the old trench broom, holding the trigger down and just pumping?

I didn't know you swung that way,..

He probably wouldn't have let you stroke his butt if you didn't have the gun.

Ruger rocks 'cause my first gun was a ruger, but to be honest, my new Springfield M1A might be my favotie now!

I didn't think Three Kings was nearly as good.

Crapgame's gotta quit with them negative waves,..

I loved the way Clint bribed the arty director with the bar of gold, and Carol O'Conner was great too.
And did you catch the german actor that then played Dragon in the Eiger Sanction?

I have a P944, it's a good reliable piece and fun to shoot. My only real gripe with it is that it has a long trigger pull before it fires, making it a little difficult to be very accurate with. Does any-one know if this is somthing that can be adjusted or fixed?

Helps to have a webbed in fore-end to keep your left hand from flying off the muzzle.

Just got back from the WalMart.
Some local guy with paraObamanoia bought virtually all the combat caliber ammo.
$4300 worth!

Seems convinced that the first thing Obama will do is tax or ban ordnance.

I think he has bigger fish to fry, but I wouldn't put it past some of his cryptosocialist crowd as a way of republican payback.

Walmart got one shipment of 9mm which sold out in two days.

Was there yesterday and they actually had some Federal .223 (55gr) for $.40/rd in hundred rd boxes.

But I'm bumping this thread for another Ruger first;
the first polymer frame revolver!
(I wonder if this will prompt more BS rumors of a "plastic gun" that can't be seen by airport detectors.)

EDIT; OK who is going to put this thread into triple digits?

"Back when the Clintons were making sure that the citizens would run dry before the criminals (as in ten rounders)"

Are you aware that 90% of the guns used in the recent drug wars in Mexico were bought in the USA. Thats around 7000 deaths last year (before things really heated up.

"It is remarkable if not entirely surprising, given the swings of political climate, how dynamic the firearms industry has remained for well more than a century".

not really surprising at all, when so many in the USA buy into completely mental concept of equating gun ownership with freedom.

So you're saying gun ownership is NOT a freedom???

I've caught this latest anti-gun argument BTW; the "90% come from the US" thing. It was on 60 Minutes tonight!

I was very disappointed to hear Anderson Cooper claim that there was an "assault weapon ban" that expired.
What doublespeak!
It was an importation restriction.

Well, OK, so lets say the "90%" figures are right.

Do you really expect mexicans to go to Peshawar to buy their guns?
Sure, they could get a better deal there, but the transport/smuggling costs would nix it.

When are you going to get it Jeremy?
The genie is out of the bottle.
Banning guns doesn't work, they are easy to make.

I have two Rugers. GP 100 w/4 barrel in .357 and an SP 101 w/2 1/4 barrel also in .357.
Both have had hundreds of hot rounds
through them and ever a problem. When the GP 100 started shaving
rounds I sent it back to Ruger for retuning. They repaired and returned
it in less than three days and in a brand new box. AND, they didn't
charge me a sent and they paid the postage. What a concept!

Say... what's better for small game a Ruger .204 or the standard 22.-250?

Licky,
have you seen what happens when you exceed specs too often?
Not a good idea. Ruger can't rebuild your hand or face.

DU,
can't speak for the .204 but my Rem .22-250 is one flat shooter.

Neal,
I put luxurious target grips on my bull barreled Mark II stainless. Its a blast, reliable, and cheeeeeeeeeeap!
How much are you paying for a box of jacketed 230 grainers these days?

BTW NBC just did a live shot from the park across the street from my cousin. How much snow did YOU get?
(and how wise is it to profess an affinity online for home made "destructive devices"?)

Piton...never exceeded the recommended loads. When I said I shot
hot loads, I really ment that I've used the hottest commercially
produced rounds made by name brand ammunition manufacturers.
I don't load my own ammo

Well I've never heard of commercially available .357 +P

Your use of the term was misleading as it is often used by reloaders.

Hey, am I going to get a copy of the book for giving you the Dorn-Utica lead?
When are you going to be done?

Ron, last Dec. part of this thread you mentioned the 327 mag. Got one for the wife in Nov. Any idea who may have empty brass. It is still a new piece with less than 10 down the pipe. Waiting for the snow to melt.
I have owned 5 Rugers now and only kept the one, a P90 for business around the house. If anyone knows of an outlet for the 327 mag brass, let me know. It's going to thaw here soon and the wife will want to shoot the snot outa that thing.

I'd thought about getting something between the 357 mag and the 22 rf, and the 32 H&R seemed like the ticket. Then I figured what I have into another gun, dies, brass, bullet molds and figured it just didn't wash. Get a 105 gr mold for the 357 and load it down to pop gun levels, or push the 200 gr over a top charge of 2400 for ~1200 fps. Anything more than that and I grab the 480.

I have both long and short rugers, semi's, bolts and revolvers. They make a darn good dependable product and well worth the coin.

Here's the first handload I put through my M77 allweather 350 rem mag, after 10 factory rounds down range.

Can't complain about a gun that shoots 1/2" at 100 yds with zero load work.

Xtreme,
good luck on brass.
Everything is crazy now, glad I stocked up on standbys.

I'd still like to see a slimmed 1911 ten shot .32 automag.

TP, Taurus has a 6 shot .38 +P snubby.
