Good post Doug.

He doesn't seem to be the same man we saw in 2000.

Or maybe we is and we just didn't see the side of him?

There is no question that McCain is running a dirtier campaign and that he is ahead in the polls. Is Obama too clean? Should he be getting down into dirt and doing some mudslinging of his own?

Reporter: Excuse me candidate A. Do you think it was wrong for Russia to attack the independent country of Georgia?
Candidate: Yes I do.
Reporter: And do you believe that if we were to send aid to Georgia or allow them to join NATO it may create a negative impact on our relations with Russia? Maybe even lead to war??
Candidate: Well yes, I suppose that is possible.
Reporter: Aha, I caught you. You're a WARMONGER. You hate peace. You want to kill all of the children in the world.

As we march as Americans toward our decision on November 4th, it is becoming increasingly clear that McCain is “cynically running the sleaziest and least honorable campaign in modern presidential campaign history.” I am disappointed to have to strongly agree with this quote regarding a man I once felt was almost a reasonable choice for the job.

As for book censorship. . . .

As for leadership and experience, Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes

I appreciate the insightful post but the quote

"several seemed to suggest I was being disloyal"

And others like it always make my stomach feel funny. Do we all vote along the lines of loyalty? Should we vote for someone simply because or their gender or ethnic background or even because of their parties platform? The whole thing bothers me when people try to accuse past, or present, presidents for all of our economic woes etc. They are the executive branch. His most important duty is as Commander in Chief. If you don't have any experience with the military you really can't understand how this works. Other than that he is limited by what he can get approved through Congress. You want to see some real freaks take a look at your elected congressional members who have been there for years. Why make such a big deal over the Presidential campaign and none over your congressional elections?
And who gives a rats ass about loyalty. The way I look at it is I get to be the guy that hires my new boss. Do I want this guy running my company?

Wow! Even the republican master of deception, former Bush campaign guru Karl Rove said Sunday on Fox that McCain's attacks have “gone one step too far,” adding that McCain spots go “beyond the 100-percent-truth test.”

Lois quit milking a dead cow. Hillary is much more valuable as a strong Senator from NY than as a token woman VP. Biden is a competent and experienced person and a perfect choice to be VP.
Palin as a VP choice only reaffirms McSame's age and poor health as well as the disasterous shift towards radical religious fundimentalism of the Republican party.

So Lois, since McSame stands against so much of what you profess to believe in, exactly why would you NEVER consider Barack Obama for president. It comes accross that you are a closet racist.

Philo, Philo,...check the calendar; you're getting started far too early. Wait until after the election to start throwing the accusations around. Let me help you here: Americans are racist; Americans are stupid, ill educated morons; the Reps stole the election. Of course, if Obama wins you won't be able to to do the above; and I know that will be a disappointment.

Show a little patience. You will have to be quick because there will be others on ST that will try to beat you to the punch so practice, practice and practice until you can post more quickly that they.

Heh, hang in there and good luck.

"You all have not a clue as to who John McCain is and what he represents. "

Funny you said the exact same thing about Palin. The truth is that you don't have a clue either. It's just easier to pretend like you do and not talk about it.
