El Classico this Sunday too. Will be interesting to see the Champions league draw tomorrow too. RVP bought Moyes some time but with RVP down, ManU is screwed.

That's what van Persie deserves for leaving the Gunners.

In most of the world this thread would be the Politics, God, and Religion thread.

Looks tasty. I was hoping Atletico would get Manure, but that draw looks quality for the neutral all the way around.

I'll be rooting for Atletico, but as long as the Blue Racists and Yanited get beaten will be happy enough.

Should be some interesting ties in there.

Bayern easily over ManU.
Real should beat Dortmund, Real is playing better this year and Dortmund worse.
Atletico/Barca should be close.
PSG/Chelsea, who knows? PSG hasn't really played anyone very good up to now, and Mourinho certainly knows how to play defense.

That was a good game to watch. Wish Ramos wouldn't have got the red, but it was still good after that.

The Gunners? Wow.

Yeah the Clasico was good, even on the crappy internet stream that I was able to find.

As for the Arsenal-Chelsea game, that was just embarrassing. In about 25 years of being a fan, that was the worst loss I can remember. I got up at 6:50AM to watch it and by the time I had the TV on, they were already down 2-0. I thought about just going back to bed, and given what I happened, I should have.
No idea what Wenger was thinking using those tactics against Chelsea at Stamford with key midfielders missing. It might have worked with Ozil, Ramsey and Walcott healthy, and Flamini instead of Arteta. With the personnel he started, it was a disaster.

Well Man U definitely got the surprise of the week. They did pretty much what Chelsea did in the finals two years ago. Play with nine in and around their box and hope for a goal seems to be the way to disrupt the Bavarians. The second leg should be good with Schweinsteiger and Martinez out. That was a harsh second yellow on Schweinsteiger, Rooney's face was classic afterwards.

Real looks like the best team in the world right now and if they play Munich I think it will be some of the best games. I think both teams would be full on attack. Hopefully they match up, next round, cause I'd like to see two games between them.

Atletico and Barca draw again. These two just can't decide which team is better. Costa is badass.

PSG looks like they are a team to be reckoned with too. I can't wait for next week.

I'm glad for MU, this year has been tough for them. David Moyes is fighting for his job, and winning the CL could act as redemption for him. I am an Everton and Liverpool fan.
Rooney flopped, but Schwienstieger's tackle was late and unnecessary.

Not sure what it is about Arsenal, but I dislike them.

I think the final will be Bayern vs. Madrid. With Bale scoring the winning goal and earning his keep. Finally.

World Cup: The US friendly with Mexico was interesting. Omar should stay home, our back line is weak to say the least, Maybe Jeff Cameron will change that at the WC. Bradley showed his world class skills and playmaking ability. He has a calm and natural style, hopefully a few other players will emulate that.

Justin - TOUCHÉ! :-)

James C, and the chances of ManU winning it all are dank, as you well know
The Huns will bury them in the rubber match.

I think the US has gone backwards in the last few World Cups. We have still
not produced anybody even remotely resembling a real striker. Discuss...

Its like ski racing: The kids need great coaches from an early age that either have been trained by europeans or are europeans. They need to be rich. No kid from the Southside of Chicago is going to become the next great american footballer unless we develope our kids like the Euro's: Recognizing talent, setting them up in a sophisticated program, meaning free or compensate them[not AYSO}, and allowing them to develope and play against other talented individuals. Parent coaches are not the answer. No! Not everyone plays in the World Cup. Until we take a cutthroat approach to the game and developing our youth in an aggressive way, we will linger in mediocrite.

I am an Everton and Liverpool fan.

Umm, how does that work exactly? They are mortal enemies. What do you do during the Merseyside derbies? That'd be like me saying I'm also a Gooners fan (never gonna happen, back to Woolwich with you, ArsenHoles)
