That video was pretty funny Weezy.

On a side note, I'll be going to see the guys who made the music for that video next week at the House of Blues in Boston. Sweet!

Looking forward to the WC, as that's the extent of my football fandom.

US women lost for the rirst time in two years yesterday. Oh, the humanity!

And Diego Forlan has gone off to Japan? Weak, although his paycheck may not be.

And if there was ever any doubt about soccer being the greatest there isn't in Gerard Pique's mind. It enabled him to marry Shakira!

They aren't actually married. So you may still have a chance with Shakira.

We'll see if Barca's recent poor domestic form translates to any chance for City in the CL return leg. My guess is that it doesn't.

Edit: Will also be interesting to see if Wigan hold on to beat City in the FA Cup for the second year in a row. I'm hoping so, as that would make the Gunners clear favorites for a first trophy in some years.

Quarter Finals are half decided after yesterday. No real surprises, I was hoping City could knock Barca out, but hope was the key word. Atletico looked real good in the second leg, yup another Spanish powerhouse. Bayer didn't have a chance despite an early goal, PSG overpowered them. The best game was Arsenal and Die Rottens. The Gunners waited to really attack until Bayern scored. They had about ten minutes of brilliance, but it wasn't enough. Robben's dives were pathetic.

PSG 6-1 agg

Bayern 3-1 agg

Barca 3-0 agg

Atletico 5-1 agg

Next weeks games should be good.

There really aren't many nil-nil matches.

The funny thing is, I hear a lot of stupid mericans complaining that soccer is boring...and they watch a car go around in a circle for 3 hours. NASCAR whoo f*#kin hoo, Cletus is on lap 697, out of 965 laps, will he run outta gas or will we all fall asleep first.

"Well Darrell...not you, your other brother Darrell, the number 47 Valovoline SnapOn McDonalds BiRite Marlboro Ford is sure runnin gud today, I reckon them boys done got the rite wedge in that thar rear suspension, here he come round turn 3, GITGITGITGIT IT! WHOOO hoo, thar he goes"

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Word up ElCap

I think if we assign 7 points to each goal, Mericans will be more accepting. A 3-2 match= 21-14. There, I fixed it for you guys that are so focused on the score.

So excited for the WC. Best sporting event in the world.

Just alike all sports, boring games exist. Sure their are boring soccer games. Same is true for all sports.

I recently read that soccer is tied for 5th most popular sport in the ol USA. This is especially true for the younger folks. I think it is the fastest growing sport in popularity with the 15-24 yr old set.

Likely has to do with the increasing quality of MLS and the fact that youth soccer is both growing in popularity and quality.

I've actually been to the Talledega 500, twice. My dad worked for a company that sponsored the race and we got free VIP tickets, pit passes, hospitality village, meet some drivers, the whole nine. It was amusing as a far as being a spectacle. People watching was top-notch, and I think everyone should go to one, preferably in the south, for a unique american cultural experience. It's like a redneck mardi gras.

One of them we went to, the Cleti in a motorhome on the infield had their bbq grill on the roof of the RV, set the damn thing on fire, and burned it to the ground. Watching Billy Bob and Ellie Mae running away from it in their cut-off levis, then trying to run back and get the cooler full of budweiser, dropping the cooler, tripping and running...quality entertainment.

Anway, my club Tottenham Hotspur's season is down the shitter. Still in the Europa, playing Benfica today, but champs league for next year is out. Even if we get by Benfica, Juve is still in it. No way we get out of Turin without a ass kicking.

Funny that everyone in that group hopes they draw Manure, who are clearly the weakest team left. Moyes might have saved his job last night, but with Van Persie going down at the end their already slim prospects are swirling the bowl.

I'd love to see Atletico play spoiler and win the whole thing.

Haha, as a Bayern fan I am hoping they draw the red devils. I don't get how Moyes is still there, he keeps saying it's a rebuilding year, but they didn't lose anyone big from last year's league championship team. Oh wait I guess Sir Alex isn't there now! I too think Atletico is a team to watch out for, Diego Costa is badass.
