Cavemonkey,
Do you know those inbred toothless rednecks?
They're probably adept at cooking meth also.

Don't know 'em Larry, but sadly know the type. Personally, Killing something that you're not going to eat, or isn't a safety hazard, is a sign of mental illness.

Alaska is really just a cold Arkansas or Bama. When I lived between Wasilla and Palmer I got to know the only black man for quite a ways. He had a towing service and he was a real gentleman. Some redneck murdered him. Alaska lost its appeal for me.

When they were building the pipeline, a lot of those workers were inbreds from Texas, and Oklahoma. These folks weren't liked by people who had been there awhile. The saying was "happiness is a Texan heading south with an okie under each arm".

I worked at Prudhoe Bay and met some very nice Texans. I especially appreciated them at Thanksgiving when those good ol’ boys couldn’t get enough turkey which meant more King Crab for the rest of us! 😜

When they lock up these dipschitz they shouldn't feed them until they've eaten the whole bear.
Good thing the camera caught them.

I was made aware of the finer points of bear baiting by my uncles. They hang 300 pounds of stale doughnuts from a tree, then put an arrow in the back of the bear that is irresistibly drawn to the smorgasbord, having first let many lesser, non-trophy bears go through and get their fill (see habituation). I thought to myself, “why don’t these chickensh#t cowards just shoot them while they’re still in the den? That’s the next logical step, right?” Enter this father and son dream team from Alaska.

A little bit of justice.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/26/us/andrew-owen-renner-alaska.html
In addition to setting the three-month jail sentence, an Alaska District Court judge fined Andrew Renner $9,000 and ordered that he must forfeit his boat, pickup truck, guns, iPhones and skis, prosecutors said. Owen Renner’s hunting license will be suspended for two years.

His hunting license is only suspended for two years? That’s ‘justice’?
Seems like the monetary punishments are harsher but law enforcement seems more intent
on confiscation to pad their accounts these days than justice.

Owen is the 18 yr. old son. I suspect the judge didn't want to punish him as much as reprimand him and give him some time off to ponder his mistake.

If only we followed the right to arm bears, this would have been an entirely different thread.
