This gesture had me baffled for a moment:
https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/06/08/politics/trump-nfl-athletes-kneeling-pardons/index.html

Then I thought of the playbook for abusers in relationships, to alternate cruelty with compassion, to keep the victims hoping for more compassion and to keep them more tolerant of more cruelty. Never mind that he encourages racism and widespread disrespect and contempt and hatred between people, and models the exact opposite of what the vast majority of parents would want to teach their kids. Let’s compete to see who gets the honor of having Trump pick someone to pardon! Will we have a televised board room and tense music, some tears and emotional pleas, then Trump on a throne frowning for an uncomfortably long time, then a “You’re Pardoned!” with the jab of a finger and a forced hug.

Yeah, that pardon thing is odd. We know Trump is addicted to attention, and he loves nothing more than seeing his adversaries grovel before him. Remember Romney's romantic dinner with Trump. It is all part of Trumps mental illness.

I guess you have no understanding how our political system works
If you vote for third party, your vote directly gives a vote to the greatest of evil

and if the lesser of two evils doesn't win, then pure evil is emboldened.

Your list is nothing to do with Democrats and everything to do with Republicans that you refuse to vote against, so hence, you are Part of the problem with your voting criteria

Did he close Guantanamo? No, because Obama didn't have a Democratic Congress, the Republicans voted to keep it open

Did the inequality of wealth in this country diminish during his term? because Obama didn't have a Democratic Congress, the Republicans voted to increase inequality

How about those wars in the Middle East? because Obama didn't have a Democratic Congress, the Republicans voted to keep the wars going

And what about that Public Option in healthcare? because Obama didn't have a Democratic Congress, the Republicans and Independents voted for no public option

oh come on now Gary, you can do better than that

why don't you throw in the fact that there are still pot holes in streets?
surely Obama could have solved that with an Executive Order!

yes, President Obama failed, he failed because he did not not end 2000 years of war in the middle east

he failed to bring Hope and Change because the ACA could not get the votes in the 28 days it had in congress to include a Public Option

you made your point Gary, congratulations on exercising your powerful intellect

They’re breathless in Singapore! And at least they’re having fun with it, besides making a buck.

The ACA? What did it do but pump money into private insurance companies.

Yea, who cares if any those people got insurance. They aren't real Americans anyway...

Robert Mueller's special counsel's office hit former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort with two more criminal charges Friday and added his longtime business associate Konstantin Kilimnik as a second defendant in the case, after accusing them earlier in the week of attempting to convince witnesses to commit perjury.

I think I'm pretty scared of Alston Chase's numbers too.
He's pretty inflated about himself. . .

“Democratic National Committee officials on Friday moved forward with a proposal to force the party’s presidential candidates to identify as Democrats, a move that drew immediate criticism from a top official in Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign.

So?

Isn’t that the point of the Democratic Party: to elect Democrats?

To stay on the outside of the party, then bitch when not fully embraced by the party, is pretty silly.

The Democratic Party has always been in agreement with all of Bernie Sanders Policy recommendations

So the need for a third party is what is silly
It's really just another way to screw the people by dividing up our side so we are ineffective as a voting block

Please, what ideas of Bernie's are not part of the Democratic party Platform?
Any?

Are all Dems perfect?
Hell no, no one is

Party platform and what you actually engage in are two different things. She would have made Sanders VP if she was actually interested in what 45% of the dem voters wanted.

Instead, we got the safe insider Timmy Kaine to keep the ticket pure.

Timmy will roll up his sleaves and work for you. Go, Timmy, Go.

Isn’t that the point of the Democratic Party: to elect Democrats?

How did that work out for you?

No surprise here, Trump didn't know the words to God Bless America- a song we all learned to sing in grade school.

I'm fairly certain he knows the theme song to Gilligan's Island.

you didn't get the point, gents.

Are we becoming a party of exclusion?

Moose

No. Anyone is free to join. If he wants to run as a dem, join the party.

I’m not sympathetic to folks who neither join the party or join late then whine about how the party is not going to bat for them.

The 'socialist' beat Hillary in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Do those states ring a bell?

Considering the razer thin margins of the rust belt states, Hillary would be president if she had the very popular Sanders campaigning as VP by her side.

Love it when people use the 'socialist' label, particularly when the 'socialist' got 45% of the dem vote. Ignorance on display.

The main reason Trump will win in 2020 is the unwillingness of the DNC players to make substantive changes in the parties platform and strategy.
You are out of touch with real problems and concerns of the working public, you've been losing members for a decade and your constant attack on everything new and different is unproductive.

Get used to Trump. You are the reason he is and will remain our president for the next 6 years.

Now go climb a rock.

I'm curious what the "real" concerns of the working public are and in what general manner the working public would like these real concerns addressed.

Yes, Hill-dawg would have been better than what we are living but she and Bill represent the worst of the Dem Party at the top

The dems and the repubs both put their worst foot forward. Common ground!

And the repubs worst foot won. How can we all stop putting our worst foot forward, without blaming other people for what we do.
