Questions for Jody: Do you love our public lands and national parks less than you like Trump (no one could possibly LOVE him)????

Do you think Trump is God? What the hell is it with you, dude?

Letís see....Trump is a lot bigger but YC is in better shape and has excellent coordination. So my take is that YC circles the ring avoiding Trumpís desperate roundhouse lunges until Yvon finishes off the exhausted narcissist with some deft straight punches.

If YC can somehow get ahold of that Trump hairpiece it is game over, hope he has the hops.
Go Yvon!!

I'd put my money on the guy with the gay french name to fistfully reconstruct the American Lardo's sneering mug.

Oh wait, yeah, no, I mean in a cultural fight, sure, the demagogue of d#@&%ey fearmongering will totally win. I agree with Jody.

Mouse you have to remember that Jody is an accomplished photographer. I think that he believes that oil rigs and atv and dirt bike tracks will add photographic interest to otherwise bland natural beauty.

1: No(and I don't love Trump).
2: No
3: I don't believe in an ALL or NOTHING solution to things and I also don't believe in the environmental catastrophe you folks seem to predict every time subjects like this come up.

Jody, thanks for the replies.

It doesn't seem to me that anyone is predicting a catastrophe here.

It is more that WE FOLKS are trying to prevent the possibility of such, by and large.

It is a wilderness area, after all. Any compartmentalization in order to get to resources is out the window because ROADS will encroach on the parts not dedicated to the extraction of resources. And POWER LINES. And SETTLEMENTS, however sketchy and impermanent. These don't belong in wilderness.

And then, too, there are the obvious PITS, TAILINGS, and CHEMICAL SEEPS that are the usual legacy of the extraction and which aren't fixable once created.

So the course of action seems obvious...PROTECTION OF THE ENTIRE AREA.

Mouse, we will have to agree to disagree on the perceived threat. I really don't think you have a lot to worry about.

Fine with me. The chances of my going to Indian Canyon or anywhere else in BE are less than one percent but that doesn't mean I don't support WE FOLKS in this fight.

The rural folks in SE Utah are, for the most part, good ole boys with next to zero environmental ethic. They would just love to be able to ATV over fragile desert environment without any restrictions.
When it comes to those areas in question best practices needs to be replaced by best enforcement.

Trump gets sued so often that he doesn't even know who is suing him and what he is being sued for. He pays people to deal with that stuff. It seems to me that the one business relationship he doesn't crap all over are the ones with his lawyers.

But at least the lawyers have to deal with the suit, and hopefully that will result in delays of the greedy mining ops jumping in before the "presidential" ink on the signature was dry.

Today I drove through northwest Texas, from Lubbock west toward Roswell, NM. Wherever there were active gas wells, there was a whiff of farts. Beautiful wide open grasslands and scrub. And fart smell.

What the f is wrong with people - we don't need no stinking fartsmell in our national monuments. They aren't monuments to industry, for fux sake.

What's the exhaust from your van smell like in a national park? Just curious I guess.
