As a company, we have donated more than $80 million to these groups.

Putting their mouthpieces where their money has already gone, seems to me.

More and bigger National Parks mean more $300 puffy jacket sales... follow the $$$. Yvon knows what he is doing.

Good point. He’s going to sell sooooo many more down jackets if bears ears and Grand Staircase escalante remain National monuments.

I like patagonias new ad campaign. It reminds potential consumers of the environmental costs attributed to his company's products. Yvon has led the way in producing synthetic oil based clothing that has made him a billionaire. And also led to some serious environmental damage.

It's good to see him chiding the president for his unethical assault against nature. Certainly HE would never do such things in persuit of his riches...

Let’s see....Trump is a lot bigger but YC is in better shape and has excellent coordination. So my take is that YC circles the ring avoiding Trump’s desperate roundhouse lunges until Yvon finishes off the exhausted narcissist with some deft straight punches.

Chouinard has done more than almost anyone in the outdoor industry to protect and preserve public lands both at home and abroad. I have the utmost respect for both his climbing and his ethics towards the environment.

Thanks Yvon!

If everyone that hates on Chouinard for at least stepping up to protect the lands the haters use, they should harbor a cause and try to lead the way, put as much money into it and try to save the lands as Chouinard tries to do. I guess none of the dissers own one piece of Patagonia? I commend him for at least standing up for what he believes in. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to say you love our public lands and national parks and then critcize one for trying to protect them?
Peace

Have bought Patagonia since the 70's, mostly good stuff(the products I've bought) and they back it up if yer not satisfied. I have no problem with a person or company making tons of money through hard work and solid products...isn't that you get in business ownership for? Hope Yvon, other companies and orgs continue to stand up for their beliefs. I'd buy Patagonia before I'd buy Trump products.
Peace

Questions for Jody: Do you love our public lands and national parks less than you like Trump (no one could possibly LOVE him)????

Do you think Trump is God? What the hell is it with you, dude?

If YC can somehow get ahold of that Trump hairpiece it is game over, hope he has the hops.

I'd put my money on the guy with the gay french name to fistfully reconstruct the American Lardo's sneering mug.

Oh wait, yeah, no, I mean in a cultural fight, sure, the demagogue of d#@&%ey fearmongering will totally win. I agree with Jody.

Mouse you have to remember that Jody is an accomplished photographer. I think that he believes that oil rigs and atv and dirt bike tracks will add photographic interest to otherwise bland natural beauty.
