Jeebus....$400 for GA. $1600 to stand in the pit.

I've got an AC/DC ticket stub from BITD that says $15. Times they are a changin'!

I may consider paying $400 to go if they can sign Led Zeppelin.
Otherwise...

The f*#king stones are the reason ticket prices started going up in the 90s. In the mid 90s shows were $35 at most. Then along comes the Stones charging $55 and everyone followed suit.

Of course now with the Internet and resellers showing what the actual market value is for tickets the prices have gone up way more. Plus the Internet killed album sales so they have to make money somehow.

The Who opens for Roger Waters? I guess Pink Floyd has sold more albums, but that seems backwards.

Paul McCartney is still rockin! But I can't stand Neil Young's voice. I'll likely see Sir Paul again locally.

$7M per set? Not bad work if you can get it!

I do some ticket resales on the side, but i do not think I will be investing in this one, those prices are crazy. I sold a pair of center floor Stones tickets 9 rows back in San Diego last year for 1500, prices peaked at maybe 2500 the day of the show. I just don't see any profit in 1600 tickets in the mosh pit with potential for 100 degree days.

Saw Rage against the machine open for Tool in 99 I think for like 60$. Ben Harper was there too. All in their prime.
This concert is a joke, premium prices for bands who just need to retire. I envy some of the shows my dad got to see with these same bands in the 60s. 50+ years ago, same songs, same bands, lol. Hey hats off to them if you guys will still pay them.

The cool thing is that at least the show will be done by 8:30. Hardcore.

There are plenty of greyhairs in Palm Desert & Palm Springs that time of year who have plenty of disposable income for this kind of show. It's gonna sell out, I betcha.

Bad trip tents replaced by Nap Stations.

All you guys talking how expensive this concert is.
Have you been to a concert recently?
You'd be paying 150 to see any of those bands independently.
Except for Dylan- he plays County Fairs and sh¡t.

Splater, isn't that a funDraiser? $32.50? I can still jump around and afford my after concert treatment at that price/

I don't know, man. The average age of a performer at that concert might even exceed the average age of all of us. Seems kinda pricey when you think of it that way.

Don't get me wrong :-) I have zero interest in this fest!

But the 3 day price is reasonable by today's standards to see those legends, whether we think they're tired, or played out, or cash grabbin'.

Stoked for the people that are into it- it's a dream lineup for many.

one of the best shows I ever saw was the Dead and Dylan at Angel Stadium. All Along The Watchtower with Jerry and Dylan together...man, awesome!
