yeah, well, I think my pup is a Republican, she has been barking at shadows recently. The kitten, a reactionary, running around the place. And I love them both.

quick question,
why do people discuss politics on a climbing forum,
brain dead? born a mutant? don't have a life? IQ=23?
Helpless? Hopeless? Useless? Insane? Retarded? Ignorant?
oh, and Merry Christmas!

why do people discuss politics on a climbing forum
For most, it's entertainment. Just passing the time.
Then there's the hardcore political junkies....

When you think about Jeb Bush, I hope you keep in mind his track record.
Remember Terri Shiavo? She was young woman with bulimia in Florida who vomited so much that her potassium dropped to critical levels and she went into cardiac arrest. She suffer a serious anoxic brain injury during her cardiac arrest and was a "vegetable." I saw her last brain CT scan - her grey matter had atrophied to the point that almost nothing was left of her cerebral cortex. She had no brain activity, save for some primitive brain stem control of respirations, and spinal cord reflexes.
Terri was kept alive by a feeding tube.
Her husband - and legal medical power of attorney - decided to remove the feeding tube and allow Terri to die.
Jeb Bush - and the Christian bandwagon - decided that this was choice was against the Christian religion (what would Jesus do?), so Jeb Bush - and the Republicans in federal Congress - attempted to wrestle control of Terry from her husband, using the bible as the legal justification.
Remember this when you go to the voting booth. Jeb Bush will turn this democracy into a theocracy.
