Jody, Did anyone on this forum recommend or condone killing cops?
Let's distill this down to make it simple.
Some people use the word hate very loosely. What they are really trying to communicate is that they are angry about LE that are abusive with their authority. Those are bad cops - we should be angry about them and we should get rid of them. Everyone can easily be on the same page about that.
Good cops that don't abuse their authority and are genuinely in it to be of service to others are wonderful! We should thank them often, give them a raise, and maybe give them thank you cards and fresh baked cookies regularly. I think everyone can get behind that, too.
Any objections?
Now, Jody, you can be all hateful and divisive about something else now.

Jody,
Your OP is complete sh#t. It's poorly worded and poorly thought out. The lack of any king of logic behind it is amazing really. How does f*#k the police mean kill the police in your eyes? Does that mean when ever you've said f*#k you to someone you really meant I hope someone kills you soon? Further more, even if your far fetched notion was true, wouldn't the killer have to of READ this forum for it to have any bearing on his mental state? Think about it. Or have you given up on thinking completely?

Your logic is incredibly flawed. You have made an association without causation.
i.e. I saw a turkey on the road and it's raining, therefor, turkeys cause rain.
And, duh, all races and all lives matter.
In logic, arguing for one thing is not arguing against another thing. Promoting the idea that black lives matter is to bring awareness to a recent spate of abusive LE and focus on solving the issue; it is not a call to kill cops. That is so obvious that arguing otherwise is a very strange perversion of reason and civility; something we could do well with more of here.
Lorenzo, thank you for bringing reason into the mix here.

Hey Lorenzo..... The title from your source.
Law Enforcement Officers
Killed and Assaulted
1996 https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/leoka/1996/leoka96.pdf
So many here are on the shet bandwagon about them Cops being "over the top" in the attitudes, mannerisms, equipment and tactics. Anybody ever think that just could be what is keeping them alive these days?
And to add to my last post, this is when the Adam 12 days ended as well.
Bangers nation wide started getting unlimited access to totally illegal "Choppers" in the mid to last 90's. Most coming over the Mexican border. Cops had no choice but to fight "Choppers" with "Choppers".
Carry on.

I'm saddened by the violent death of anyone, special someone paid to protect all of us. But Jody like so many people is blaming others when they should be looking at themselves. The hatred for police comes from the actions of a few bad officers, with the full support of the entire force. I am a polite person, yet have rarely been treated politely or ever professionally by police. In the 1970's & 80's I work for a police impound. For me it was a rude and very sad awakening, what I learned was to never trust a police officer. There are really good officers out there, but they are over shadowed by the self centered me first type person who will lie & steal & cheat if it's to their advantage. If police won't police themselves they sure should not be policing me.

Chief, Are you calling to question the veracity of Lorenzo's data? At the surface there doesn't appear to be any relationship to his post and you, like Jody, are arguing that there is an association here with the rest of the conversation and, further, based on that association there is causation, but I can't find the logic there. Can you clarify your argument?

Mark Force, I am just pointing out that first, Lorenzo's data is dated 1996. Almost 20 years old.
Then, that since the days of the .38 rev packing "Beat Cop", crime, it's pathetic and morbid evolution into gangbangers and drug lords etc carrying an arsenal of automatic weapons and big bore semi auto's etc that are supplied to them via the Mexican Cartels and other totally illegal sources, have also changed the way Law Enforcement does business in order to carry out their primary responsibility in this nation, to protect the common law abiding citizen.
Law Enforcement has evolved into what it needs to do to protect themselves from all the above. Most assuredly why less are getting their asses blown away.
To turn a completely blind eye to that reality here in this nation does the law enforcement agencies and all the brave men and women that suit up daily, a total disservice.
Here is another very startling fact....
It's an extraordinarily rare event. But the fact is, (in) 2012, there were 12,197,000 arrests in the United States, OK? And there were 410 uses of deadly force. Now that is, I think, three-thousands of a percent. So, it’s still an extraordinarily rare event." — Edward Flynn on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014 police chief in Milwaukee, Wis., since January 2008
And more than half of those were whites.
