Hmm imagine that, a cop not telling the truth...

* Does his current administrative leave include pay?

* Will he be brought up on perjury charges?

* Will he be brought up on the unlawful discharge of a firearm with the enhancement of being in a school zone?

Jody, your cover is blown, "Occupied territory"...? I'm guessing you're dissatisfied with your government, angry at the white man's diminished superiority and you don't get laid very often.

You pay, at most, 25 cents on the dollar in taxes for: The greatest military in history, police, firefighters, food safety, NASA, NOAA, FEMA (Bush screwed that up), schools, and so on. But Jody, I need you! I need you to cancel out the equally perverse leftist and help maintain this beautiful social equilibrium we enjoy.

Keep on keepin on and say hello to Clivin Bundy for me.

Sad case. $12 ticket ends up with a dead guy.

There is a lack of patience in many cases similar to this, and a demand that the public respect their authority, or the tazers and choke holds come out. Defend yourself and the officer will "fear for his life" and pull his piece. After action reports will fully back up the coward cop with other police witnesses that repeat the story. A cop yelling "stop resisting" is probably the most obvious sign some poor sot is getting punished for no showing adequate respect for authorit'ay.

Running from cops pretty much assures a beat down once you are caught, even if you come out with your hands up (no wonder people run...). The horse escape guy recently was a prefect example. If not for a news copter those 13 cops would have never been held to account for punching, kicking, and stomping an handcuffed guy laying on the ground.

Unless there is video, or many witnesses, the investigation will almost certainly clear the cop, the prosecutor will not press charges and things will carry on. Speak out against it and you will are labeled "anti-cop" rather than pro-constitution, or pro-justice.

Take the UC Davis pepper spray incident. The cop was well documented to be spraying people sitting on the ground posing zero threat at the time. He ended up getting $38k in workman's comp for psychological suffering rather than getting charged with assault as he should have.

Recently saw on the news where the Cops shot and killed a man that became threatening, wielding a pipe or some object similar...

Once you arm the cops, they have to defend their guns. Protect & Serve becomes secondary to protecting their firearm. If they leave an opportunity open for someone to get their gun they are derelict in their duties.

Sadly this comes with a huge price. Once you are required to take a protective posture and control the situation to protect your firearm there is much less room left to de-escalate a situation or given anyone the benefit of the doubt if they make any sudden moves.

The public has a very different response to an armed cop than an unarmed one. It makes the adrenaline flow knowing that they are dealing with someone who can easily take their life, and who is likely barking orders at them. Put a layer of body armor on and you are now getting yelled at by a lethal alien being rather than talking with a fellow human. Even innocent people react in ways they normally would not, either running or even attacking in reaction when there is no good reason to do either. We seem unwilling to try disarming cops, and have swung the other way.

I do agree whole heartedly that the current training regimen of every cop emptying their clip at mass center once the shooting starts is uncalled for. The recent Cleveland backfire case (among many others) shows how awful this practice is. If I keep hitting an intruder with a baseball bat after knocking him out it is murder. If I cop reloads and keeps firing at a wounded unarmed suspect it is not. Way messed up.

A part-time police officer who claimed to have been shot at on Wednesday before getting into a fiery car accident with his cruiser completely fabricated the story, police said. Millis Police Sgt.Photo Credit: Facebook

Has a badge and a gun.

Johnson was hired in June as a permanent intermittent police officer for the town.

But a day after the incident, Dwyer said ballistic testing determined that the only bullets found at the scene belonged to Johnson.
Dwyer said an investigation found the officer “fired shots at his own cruiser as a part of a plan to concoct a story that he was fired upon.”

Imagine if teachers or nurses killed unarmed people on a regular basis...

No one is saying cops don't have tough jobs, so do teachers and nurses, but they need to act professionally.

The video evidence of late shows a lot of cops acting unprofessionally. The knee jerk reaction from the like of Chief is that ALL cops are above criticism because most are good cops. Indeed, a few bad cops are ruining the pubic's respect for all cops. Yet, the DA and cop unions insist bad cops walk for murder because they wear blue.

no, bad cops are just bad people in blue. and should be punished as such.
