Just pulled in from four days in the desert so I wouldn't miss Discovery Channel's show "Naked and Afraid" which airs at 8:00 PM tonight.
Indian Creek denizen and outdoor chef extraordinaire (he cooked the turkey for the ST Indian Creek gathering) Darrin Reay will star.
If you want to see the proper way to catch, field dress and cook a rat, don't miss it.

Darrin tells me he can do a mean marmot and porcupine.....better than kobe beef. The rat featured in Naked and Afraid also looks damn tasty.

Funny. I just turned the channel and saw Darin and was going to start a thread on it. Instantly knew it was him. Perfect dude for this. He seems to be eating better than anyone I have seen on this show.

When I watched this show for a season, I found I got along much better with my significant other. It presents an interesting study in relationship dynamics under extreme stress. Surprisingly useful for a reality-TV show.

I have watched about a dozen of those shows. Darrin rocks it. If the point of the show wasn't so focused on the interaction of the two participants, I think Darrin could probably come away with a weight gain. That, to me, would be cool. Not just survive but thrive.

When I met him in IC a few weeks ago, he said that he had "bulked up" expecting to lose weight during the show, but found so much food that he didn't lose as much as expected and is still trying to work off the excess. I'd be willing to bet not many participants say that!
Sorry I missed the actual show, will have to catch it online or on rerun I guess.

I think I watched the wrong show. There's like ten "naked" shows on TV now, you know.
Naked House Buying, Naked Chef, and Naked Crab Fishing were all on at the same time. I went with Naked Bounty Hunters, and I had to pay eight dollars for it.
