Kerfluffle on Main St.
Lady Homeless and the cops respected the hell out of each other this aft. She was trying to move a mattress someplace, and her mode of transport was this stupid grocery cart.
Nobody got belligerent, though some had their moments.
Pacification ensued and nobody went to the mattresses.
There seems to be a concerted effort, some would say conspiracy, to keep the homeless on the move and to leave the downtown area alone.
The Merced Rescue Mission has recently abandoned its feeding at their big old house three blocks from Main. NOW the food is served in a much more rigid manner, I've heard, in a different location not nearly so close to the downtown.
Life goes on and it keeps getting tougher.
The poor weren't meant to eat or sleep,
They are only here to suffer.
