Nearly half the states still have same sex marriage bans.
Indiana just passed a law legalizing discrimination based on sexual preference.
Yup. Actually angry for realz.
But hey, it's only 20 million or so people we're talking about here.
What's the problem?

And people here in the USA complain about Sharia law, when they're trying to pass their own version of Sharia

Looks easy said: "Wait, I'm confused. Is everyone, here and elsewhere, being extra-meta and satirically angry at the satirical law filing, or are people actually angry?"
Not angry so much, but confused, offended and disturbed. If it was satire, why pitch what sounds like an on the spot execution? Exactly what's the point of that? Cause it would be deeply disturbing if I was a target of an official sounding automatic death threat, and thus I am offended for those whom are targeted by this. Hopefully he gets no more than one mentally disturbed persons signature and not the 365,000 needed to get it on the ballot.
*HOWEVER*, given some of Mark Dice's satirical videos (see below for sampling), where what appears to be otherwise intelligent people act super dumb and sign petitions they shouldn't, I'd question the mentality of Californian voters and the outcome of this ballot measure given these supposedly satirical vids that are mostly playing for laughs.
Given this quote below, I suspect that the guy is serious.
"The Chronicle reported that he suggested adding the King James Bible as a literature textbook in California public schools in 2004 because of its "rich use of the English language."
Some more on Mark Dice and his horrific satire as it relates to California. He has a bunch, not sure these are worth watching as I didn't sort them out, but here ya go.

Maybe the best response would be to ignore him? Unfortunately there are enough armed bigoted whackos out there this could incite murder.
I did say "whackos". I'm certain most armed bigots wouldn't go so far. It only takes one.
After all this arsehole is both a legislator and an attorney licensed by the bar. He's got "bona fides"

Because that's exactly the type of extreme absurdity that satire often uses?
Google's definition:
sat·ire
ˈsaˌtī(ə)r/
noun
the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.
But I suppose bitd people thought Swift was being sincere also...

Same sex marriage bans and OK-to-discriminate laws ARE sharia - they are 100% religiously justified, motivated, and funded. There should be zero tolerance for any form of sharia in the United States. That's not what were about - according to the Bill of Rights.
If you think they're not serious, try imagining having the State inform you that you are banned from ever being married. Good luck visiting your SO in the hospital, working out custody of your children after separating, or passing on your estate to your surviving spouse or children without a bankrupting tax bill. Imagine the State telling you that you cannot bring your spouse into the country if they are from somewhere else.
Or, imagine if you WERE married, then moved to another State, and that State told you "No, you're not. Not anymore."
Yup, this kind of thing pisses me the fk off.
But I'm doing something substantive about it.
Are you?
The problem with this CA assclown is that the assclowns elsewhere, including right on this forum, think this is the some total of a 'non-problem - just libruls whining again 'bout nothin'' - even when half the states still ban same sex marriage today. Should he be ignored? Yup. Should we fight to eliminate the real problem? Yup.
It's really not that difficult to put yourself in someone else's shoes, even if they are...gulp...eeeewwww...gay.

I agree that discrimination based on sexual orientation is wrong. Which is why I find this petition hilarious.
At least people's blind outrage appears to be sparking some dialogue (which I suppose is actually the goal of satire).

Um...no. Again, it's not about this assclown. He doesn't matter.
It's about the real problem, and that problem is huge.

I'm I not being clear enough here?
I don't give a rip about this petition. It's real discriminatory laws on the books that I do something about.
The 'this isn't Nigeria' comments are illustrative of the attitude that is part of the problem - that is really is no problem.
There is, it's huge, it's not what we say we're about, so let's do something about it.

Step one might be to concentrate on making our own marriages better.
The Bible Belt gets the worst report card in the nation in marital statistics.
Preacher, heal thyself.
Anyone who's been there knows marriage can be tough.
It's a lot tougher when it's banned, though.
Perhaps we need the following Constitutional Amendment "Please keep your nose out of other people's asses"
Anti-nasal-sodomy Clause?
I'll start a petition.

WTF is nasal sodomy? Reminds me of the FMJ quote "he so tough he eat the boogers out of a dead man's nose."
Anyway, Americans have made great strides in tolerance, but we have way further to go.

For decades, people in California have voted to take other people's money by force. This is only a natural extension of that.
Once you start taking property from people, it's only a small step from there to take someone's life.

Tvash, I think you may have misinterpreted my statement. My point is that this is near-Sharia crazy, sinking us to the lows of some of the most f*#ked-up countries in the world.
