You Californian's. Such a diverse group you are. Ballot proposal was filed, needs signatures. Here's some sample text, could you imagine being gay and reading this? HoLeeFuk. "The People of California wisely command, in the fear of God, that any person who willingly touches another person of the same gender for purposes of sexual gratification be put to death by bullets to the head or by any other convenient method." ""This law is effective immediately and shall not be rendered ineffective or invalidated by any court, state or federal, until heard by a quorum of the Supreme Court of California consisting only of judges who are neither sodomites nor subject to disqualification hereunder."
Wonder what the point of that is? Is it to put free speech as in issue up to the light, or California's ballet measure system. Couple of links:

Makes complete sense to me. All the anti-gay hysteria has made such astonishing nonsense inevitable. And this moron has a law license?
One good thing may come of it. The rabid gay bashers will have to come out of their closets to hand out flyers and stand on street corners waving signs. I plan to take lots of photos.

Thus why democracy is really really bad. Good thing we are not one.
We are a constitutional republic with representatives chosen by their ability to attract sponsorship. No democracy involved.
Well almost none...The California ballot initiative system being a notable exception.

Some jerkoff's attempt to get attention via a completely pointless but attention-grabbing effort.
It made it to ST...it musta worked!

Government should not allow laws that make the gays have to buy $500 bullet
proof helmets just to safely go outside. Next thing they'll be making
everyone buy healthcare. Crazy.
Perhaps this would-be law is a clever way to sell more ballistic helmets now
that the wars are over? I mean never underestimate the military industrial
complex to drum up business.

And here's why: you want aggro-in-public homos? You want public-carry gay dudes in nut-cups at the post office? ok, sure, pass the law. I suspect that those fellows might shoot back.
EDIT: As if the pseudo-phallus .50 strapped to the leg of my fellow ice-cream buyer in AZ was not a cry for help...

The laws of men and their religious and corporate gods are as worthless as the paper they are written on. Homophobia exposes homophobes as being afraid of being more homosexual than any homosexual could ever imagine. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Same sex and other sex people and their farm animals just want to be left alone. Religions and governments are disorganized criminal organizations almost as powerful as organized crime syndicates. If you can't beat them, get some farm animals. Farm animal lawyers are as crooked as a dog leg but more valuable than a three legged pig.

The dishonorable Matthew McLaughlin, Huntington Beach.
The Sodomite Suppression Act has also now drawn a response from activist Charlotte Laws, who planned to file her own ballot initiative Monday called "The Intolerant Jackass Act," according to Slate. The Intolerant Jackass Act would require anyone who proposes a ballot initiative calling for gay people to be killed to attend one year of sensitivity training and donate $5,000 to a pro-LGBT group. From Slate:

Dude has gotten far more press over this than he deserves. The age old advice to "Ignore the trolls" applies here.

This is how a shithole state becomes even more of a shithole state.
Meanwhile, up here in the Happy Land of Gay Weed - Arlene's Flowers of Richland WA just lost their lawsuit to discriminate against gays in Superior Court. The court ruled that their denial to sell flowers to two long term customers for their wedding was a clear violation of Washington's anti-discrimination law. I'm really not sure what their defense was, but, needless to say, it hasn't worked for them so far.

Wait, I'm confused. Is everyone, here and elsewhere, being extra-meta and satirically angry at the satirical law filing, or are people actually angry?
