I have seen people trash picking from a moving golf cart. The dangerous places, where there is no place to which to jump, don't require much reach. Put a signed traffic control vehicle behind the golf cart and pull it all into a turnout when the line gets too long. Undoubtedly this would involve the public in the clean up effort.

I know that I took 5 pictures (the only ones on a new chip in the camera), ,but somehow the one showing the face of Miss Anonymous disappeared... I have no idea how that happened... Maybe I'll have to ask Ed about that...

Did anyone happen to snap a picture of my birth mom Ann ' s sister Adriane and/or the equally photo - shy me together? (Even if it's in the corner of another pic, I would be so grateful.)
I realized only too late that we didn't capture a single picture of the first time we ever met.
She's awesome beyond measure, and hilarious to boot. ")
After she left, I was totally overwhelmed...and so grateful to be surrounded by my Taco family. The music @ Meat Fest, including Andy, BooDawg and was that Lynne on the harmonica ? (WOW!), was just what the doctor ordered. Absolutely fantastic!!!

You never say that to us!
Glad Crowley made it and is doing well. I miss that guy but don't tell him, he's still pissed at me :-)

I really wish I could be there with everybody at Yellow Pines. My kind of scene in my kind of place with my kind of people. I have many very special memories of YP's and Sentinel Beach, including its opening debut as an off-beat "alternative" campground in the early 70's, weddings, and YNP Trail Crew true BBQ's in the 80's. Every year, I feel flat-out stranded and isolated; I need to make the trip and be there one of these years to join in.

OK, so I am back and settled.
Time now for thanks.
Our amazing host Ken Yager for the impetus of volunteerism among the climbing community - the waters run deep my friend, and the pool is getting deeper every year.
Anders, George, Jim, Maureen, Harrison, Eric and Vicki, Andy & Rick (great to jam with you guys as always), LL for awesome harmonica accompaniment, Fattread, Chilo's Salsa ROCKS! Google it now... Tony and friends from CLIF Bars, Tony Yeary and AAC friends, the Access Fund...all neighbors for the week,The Sponsors Extraordianaire: Black Diamond, The Reel Rock Tour, Patagonia, Fat Tire, Tom's Shoes and glasses, and the rare Horny Toad blessing.
The presenters - what can be said of the quality of them but extraordinary - special thanks for the new presenters who put themselves out there...
Thanks to the base and ephemeral elements that contribute to this amazing gathering: from Yosemite Parks,DNC to the Parks Service to the medicine women to the simple volunteer.
Thank you, each and every one of you...

Told Mouse I'm going to write a book,
"The Zen of Micro Trash"
He said it will be short!
Got to tie in with Ed H. finally, along with Lucky Pink and Linda.
Even with the off weather, it was wonderful.
A few more photos...

Tuesday.
I walked Sentinel Beach on Tuesday, after sharing a "spleef," I think she called it: and then I found myself watching the wind blowing past Rixon's Pinnacle for a half hour.
Thanks!

Vegasclimber and Plaidman engage in a timeless climber ritual, the gear sort
Surprised to see these two manning the tables at FaceLift... usually shy and retiring, they are positioned on the frontline of the action

I really like this shot. Fidgets abound. Is this Paul Martzen from Fresno?
Cuz it sure looks like him.
I missed you this year.Ken told us that this year the sponsors CAME TO HIM as they have come to realize that the power of micro-trash is beyond man's wildest dreams. Joey F., you should try to sell that book idea to BLACK DIAMOND, my friend.
And now a word from the sponsors.
