I'm sorry I bailed before things occurred. There was much smoke. It got me down. My timing was poor, at best.
Meh.
Ain't dead yet. There MAY be time. We'll see.

I'm sorry too, Skully, as are quite a few that said, "where the heck is that guy?" only to find you'd left. Next year....you'll have some serious, good fun hanging with the folk.
Just shut down TPR with a wonderful 100 year anniversary party last night and now I'm home in Sun Diego.....so missing my 10,000 foot pure air and the fall/winter that has presented itself with golden/yellow color as well as snow, wind and rain. Hauled all my van load of crap into the house and when I find my camera cord I have just a few pics of FL to share.
Hugs to all you that were there and much Love, lynnie.

ed can you pen

Great shares and photos everyone!
Just got home a couple hours ago, doing the resting and processing thing while preparing for the overload of work tomorrow after having to take an extra day off to get home.
I was having a lot of issues keeping my phone charged and my camera was buried in one of my pigs, but I will get some photos up this weekend. What a blast this year!

Finally home again in the heated abyss of lower elevation. BUT, I now have internet. Let's roll!

Here's a condensed version of Lisa and my time at Facelift. A more complete version can be found here:
http://www.yosemitecloseup.com/stories/yosemite-news/
Lisa and I set up our camp in the Valley on Tuesday evening, then attended the Climbing movie, “Valley Uprising,” which is a summary of Yosemite climbing between 1957 and the present. It was very well attended and most who saw it enjoyed it immensely. But naturally, among climbers, there were all kinds of “suggestions” for improvements.
Wednesday morning, Lisa and I registered at the registration tent pictured below, then went pick up trash along Hwy 41 between Bridalveil parking lot and “Tunnel View.”
The following day, we returned to “Tunnel View” and finished the job on the north slope below the parking lot.
Later, we stopped at the long turnout west of "Tunnel View" with its great view of the Valley and picked up trash below the rock wall recovering two more bags full.
The next day, joined by Guido, his daughter, Kali, and her friend Michael, we went up to Glacier Point and walked down to the Valley via the Panorama Trail, 8 miles downhill mostly.
There we met other Facelift friends, Michael, Susan, and Ingrid.
On the way, we got a GREAT VIEW of Illilouette Fall, sparkling in the sunlight, reminding us of the beauty of our waterfalls, even during drought years!
We crossed Illilouette Creek where there was a lovely view upstream.
As we came closer to Nevada Fall, clouds from the west continued to move into the area. Kali, Michael, Lisa, and Joe, with Nevada Fall and Liberty Cap to the left.
That night and much of the next day and night, it rained. On Saturday night there was good party at Yellow Pine, and on Sunday, soggy but happy we broke camp and went home.

Hey, thanks, Ken. Now I can relate to who Michael and Kali are, for we were not introduced, and I was curious.
A well-met crew there, Guido.
