Stich,

Thanks for the beta on the Eldorado Appreciation Day, that will be one of many spots we plan to get the word out for Steve's family, Anastasia & John.
Also plans are in the works for the Flagstaff Bash as well as the Horsetooth Hang.

I am overwhelmed at the great respone from everyone involved.

The aching my heart feels for my brother everyday is lessened more and more by the kind acts of all of you.

Please be aware that the Acopa office is up and running although
I have taken a long weekend to see my husband, I will be back in CA on Tuesday.

Crimpergirl, thank you for the lovely card, your kindness will not be forgotten.

Steve's memorial is 9/17 at 2:00pm, at a park in/near Berkley,CA. I'll post the exact location next week.

Good news today, John has just been released from Cedars-Sinai Hospital after a very successful surgery. The doctor informed me that it will take six months to see how much function will return and we are all very hopeful. One thing for sure is that John will find a way to overcome his obstacles.

John should be returning home by next Friday. It will take eight weeks for his injuries to heal enough for him to start physical therapy. Until then, I am sure he's going to be a very restless guy despite having a broken neck.

Thanks everyone for your support. It is helping all of us to pull through.
Sending "all" my best,
Anastasia Frangos
P.S.
I did send the hugs and kisses to him.
He smiled. :)

It is official! Dave and Autumn Talsky(Mammoth Mountineering Supply) in conjuction with "BD", have "Officially" scheduled the Mammoth Lakes area John Bachar Fund Raiser. It will feature an amazing and a "Got to Go See" slide show by the one and only Peter Croft, with a "Gear Raffle" to follow, on the 15th of September at 7PM. It will held at the "Events Plaza" located at the "Village at Mammoth". $10.00 admission fee which of course will all go towards the growing fund to help John and his ensuing medical costs. Below is the wonderful poster that has been printed up for this great and wonderful event to help out one of the true modern "Legends" of this life we call "Climbing". Come and enjoy the great gathering of many to help John with what most certainly will be a costly recovery. For further information, contact the folks at MMS, 760-934-4191.

Just wanted to update everyone on the progress of the sale of the limited edition prints of JB. So far the support has been tremendous, we have raised $3000.00 to date, and print orders continue to come in. The On the Lamb edition is nearly sold out, and I have added an additional image of John soloing Outer Limits, which was previously on the cover of the Yosemite Climbing Calendar in 1987.

Thanks to all of you who purchased, we are filling orders as quickly as possible, and have shipped the first ones today. Please pass the word to anyone you think might be interested.

The link, once again:
