What I don't see, is any change from one administration to the next.
We're always at war, invading one country or other.
I see a growing police state, and an increasingly dismal economy.

Amy Goodman just posted an OpEd about the Obmana administration being the most secretive and least transparent ever. Amazingly, Obama just endorsed our invasion of Iraq!

Bluey, what is good about Ted Cruz?

Obama, in his speech, noted his own opposition to the war, but went on to defend its mission.

"We did not claim or annex Iraq's territory. We did not grab its resources for our own gain," Obama argued.

Defends vs. endorses, perhaps a stretch, perhaps not.

Since March 2003, a series of executive orders by Bush, UN documents, and regulations and orders issued by Iraqi Proconsol Paul Bremer have put the U.S. in absolute control of the state of Iraq, its oil industry and monies, all while lifting barriers to repatriating profits.
The largest contracts have gone to corporations like Halliburton, Bechtel, and Fluor, which are big contributors to the Republicans and now enjoy oversight of their Iraq activities by former executives who worked for the Bush administration. Furthermore, Bush has given the corporate victors the ultimate protection: indemnifying them from liability for any and all activities related to Iraqi oil.
To top it all off, the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq used money from oil sales to help pay for the counterinsurgency campaign. So not only are U.S. corporations reaping billions off the conflict in sweetheart deals with legal impunity, but Iraqis are being forced to pay for the very war waged against them.
The government of Iraq continues to pour portions of the profits from its renewed oil industry into its accounts at the Fed in New York, called the “Oil Proceeds Receipts Account” that serves as a cash reserve for the Iraqi Central Bank. April, 2011 the Iraqi government informed the UN security council about a new account it is setting up with the Fed to replace the Development Fund for Iraq account established at the beginning of the war.
December last year, Baghdad and Arbil have "agreed" on accumulation of Kurdish oil revenues in an account, which was opened in US bank JPMorgan.

Well, I was going to say, "What's wrong about him?", but then we'd be going in circles.

He appears to be a strict Constitutionalist. Hard core. He appears to be very conservatively principled. He sticks to his convictions even when his party elders tell him "no".

He actually appears to care about the average person, not the party. I think he has demonstrated this.

As a former prosecutor he knows the law. He uses guns and hunts. And he's a good family man.

Oh, and he doesn't really drone on about gays, abortions, or birth control.

Unless that average person happens to be a woman.

Unless that average person happens to be a woman.

Yeah, I hear he beats his wife and 2 daughters on a regular basis. Deprives them of precious birth control and parades them around in hijabs.

EDIT: I think he's officially running

A part of me would like to see him stay in the Senate though....

Yeah, and he wants people to just die, right?

I think the majority of Americans polled stand with Ted with regards to the "Affordable Care Act". It's a cluster-f*#k.

Bluey, before the implosion of the financial system (via the housing market), what was the #1 cause of bankruptcy in America? (Hint: medical bills)

And why is Cruz against a women's right to choose on pregnancy? No birth control, no abortion. What a guy.

Why do you people always dwell on the insignificant sh#t like abortion, birth control, and gay rights?

Is that really a f*#king issue?? This is another reason I dig Ted, he knows what's important.

People's rights,

Such a small little insignificant detail!

Omg are you kidding me....

F*#king Christ if that is the desired mentality we as a society are heading towards and or becoming. If so I say find a way to bring death to every single one of our rotten human good for nothing asses in one fell swoop like the dinosaurs as we don't deserve this gift one little bit.

O.k., Crimpe, spread your legs and allow a man to introduce semen into your vaginal cavity, Why should the State or Federal gov't have any business in this?

Why is birth control a function of the State? It's a personal decision, a "choice". Isn't it?
