I put it on the calendar and will ask for the time off.
Sounds too good to miss out on.

Steve W, still have those skis? Maybe Philo could hold them in his lap on the way out there for me. ;->

I like the way your mind works, Evel. We'll see how the situation develops as we approach the summer solstice. You know, Philo and I share Hawthorn House with a cover girl from an early CoR guidebook. We're thinkng of a whole house trip!

Re: flying to CoR; Twin Falls has commercial flights as well as Boise. Burley is strictly a General Aviation field without any airlines other than puddle-jumper airways (me).

Local car rentals: Twin Falls has both Avis and Hertz; haven't checked Boise. car rentals are available in Burley through Bonanza Motors, the local Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler dealer.

For overflow, check out Smokey Mountain Campground for Castle rocks State Park. Each site allows 2 cars and up to 8 campers.

We'll be there at the exact same time with 8 people!

But we won't be dropping by.

(no dogs, but 4 kiddies between age 1 and 5)

See you at the crags! Or not, you might all run away from the dust storm emanating from the kiddies playing...

WTF asks:
Why no kids Fritz?

The requirement is: If you would like to camp, or visit at the Group Camp: we do ask attendees to leave their pets and their small children at home, both for the safety of the small children & pets, and also to maintain a harmonious environment for all attendees.

My thoughts on small children are about the same as those of most whitewater rafting companies. Here's a quote from a CA-based one.

Each river has a usual minimum recommended age. During summertime flows, the minimum age is 8 years old on Class III sections of the South Fork of the American and 5 years old on the Class I-II section. A minimum age of 12 is recommended on the Middle Fork of the American and Merced, and 13 years old on the Tuolumne in summer. In the spring, trips on the Tuolumne, the recommended age is 15 years old along with our other Class IV springtime trips. All rivers may require increased minimum age requirements as the level of difficulty increases.

I consider our campsite to be a Class III location with a minimum age of 8. I would expect any participating child above 8 to be used to camping and able to fully enjoy the outdoor environment (as opposed to being bored spitless).

Worse yet! There is no internet connection at our remote site.

On the topic of dogs: I love my dog a lot, so I do her an enormous favor and keep her home away from cactus spines, possible rattlesnake encounters, and other dog hating climbers...

You love your dog; other people DON'T.

I heard earlier today from my old friend ImStein. He confirms for group camp and another ST member that is anonymous for now, confirms too.

Ddriver! You and T are more than welcome, but I have to put you on the wait list----so long as T normally walks on 2 legs.

Sorry folks! Unless we have some cancellations: Group Camp is now full!
