Ha haha ha LOL Ydpl8s. It was and probably still is true. I remember when some Texas Business men and Texas Congressmen were actually lobbying to have a part of Colorado declared a Texas State Park. Do you remember the infamous tomato fights between Texans and Coloradans? Saucy.

Just to clarify, Fritz. (Cuz' I'm sure you have enough to do without dealing with all the vicissitudes of folks' changing plans and schedules.) The conclave of Toxins and pseudo-Toxins are staking out the Finger Rock high camp. Please keep the Cover Girl from Hawthorn house on the roll for Twin Sisters' accommodations.
And expect us to bop on by for socializing, etc. God willing and the creek don't rise.

I have officially scratched my name on the vacation calender at work. I am going. I am pretty sure Masha will join me and I don't know where we will crash yet. Somewhere comfortable. I'll figure it out. Oh yeah, wine but no whine.
The place looks so cool. Is it as good as it looks? I can't wait to see for myself.

Currently City of Rocks camps are about 1/2 full for the nights of June 23-26 and the nearby Smoky Mountain deluxe with showers campsite near Almo & Castle Rock State Park is mostly available. They will fill up!
Campsites 1-4 in camp area 2 are adjacent to our Twin Sisters Group camp and share our deluxe shitter. 3 of those 4 camps are available for the dates we have the Twin Sisters group camp.

ddriver: I like the view from those camps up on the hill, but they are “cow-friendly” terrain campsites. It’s a little bizarre to me that they aren’t fenced, but as of two years ago, they were being grazed by bovines.

ionlyski! Heidi & I think you have the greatest climbing kids in the world and we really enjoyed climbing with you folks at the City, even though the kids were teenagers.
Schist! They were wonderful people for teenagers too! Can't wait to see all of you again!
However!
I'm still thinking like the white-water rafting companies think. No pets and no children under age 8.

This should be a fun "get-together". I have met Donini, but as far as I know, no-one else. These are a bunch of the low-key down-to-earth people that I have wanted to connect with beyond cyberspace for the goodness of what the SuperTaco can represent.

Wayno! If you want to take over "food-planning" that would be great.
What I normally see at City of Rocks get-togethers is a lot of independent meals that are heavy on Hors d'oeuvres that usually combine for shared grazing.
In 2012 Heidi & I sponsored Tamale night for a group of about 12. That was a hit and we have plans to repeat that for the group camp attendees. With the fairly high Hispanic population in S. Idaho, it is no problem finding authentic tamales.
We could certainly take up a collection to pay for any culinary delights you want to share with your grateful campers?
Reilly, re your question about if Visas are needed to visit this insular corner of Idontno, that rightly belongs to the state of Utard!
You can follow Moosedrool's lead, and get a haircut, drive a pickup truck then attempt to blend in. However, if you want to show up in your old VW bus, with ancient black CA plates, and a peace symbol on the front: you might want to get some bumper stickers that will calm the locals down.
I can supply you with these, for a few bottles of fine wine.

I'll be raiding my local Italian Deli before coming up. Plenty of Italian wine, coffee, cold-cuts, cheese and bread. Maybe some pasta too. Maybe some fava beans (fool) to go with the Chianti.
And for breakfast, oatmeal, bacon, & whisky!
