Thanks splitclimber!

Not too much interest in the bouldering thread, I guess!
I guess I'll keep fighting the good fight- trying to bring some climbing content to this forum.
Sure could use some reinforcements by Friend, Yanqui, biotch...f uck, even burchey toproping with a helmet would help the cause :-)

Here's my new project.
I haven't climbed anything at this grade for many years, and I'm not into projecting, really.
I'll try hard, but only a few times :-)

But this things goin' down. It's perfect.
A classic Bob Murray line, roadside, great view, not too tall, good LZ...a perfect proj I can work myself.
My tips are going to suffer, though.
The crux is really cranking off a 1/3 pad very sharp crimp with horrible feet (pictured).
Amped to start the process!

I'm starting to question whether this jefe guy ever actually climbs anything. I mean yeah, the purity of enencumbered maximal difficulty movement on clean, bullet-hard features sculpted by superhuman artistry is just so....aesthetic and pure. Not sure why he won't just slog around 5.easy terrain with bulky harness and dorkhelmet and multi-set variegated thingamabobbers and stuff like the rest of us.....climbers

Dude's got the stoke though, I guess. ;-)

Bravecowboy-
I usually am on 5.easy terrain.
Just without a harness, and with a nap station waiting below.

Jefe is seshing the sh#t out of us these last months!

As near as I can tell, Jefe is the new Sesh King of Super torture!

The Stoke, the effort, the pictures, Sesh after Sesh!

I admire everything about the dude, his humanity, his love of life, the seshing, the beard, his shiny balls....Sesh master!

Sesh that sh#t locker! If you can't beat the Sesh, join the Sesh!

Thanks Bruce.
These seshes are about the only thing I have to offer to this forum...
besides my shiny balls.

Now that I've been home for a bit I've been focusing mostly on our backcountry spot- the place I rope climb in the summer. It's at 8000+ ft and the roads we use to access are closed for winter. So the hike's a bit further, and partially snowy and icy. But once we're on the south facing slope, the conditions are just perfect.
In the Tucson climbing community, most people are locked in with their partners. I don't have a partner for routes so it's been nice to latch in with a motivated group of young crushers. Not your average boulderers, I guess, amped to hike six miles through the snow with pads.
But the payoff is worth it.
Yesterday evening:

And when time or circumstances don't allow-
I've taken on a project. Nice to have something I can work alone.
First day:

But today, we rest.

Yeah, I get like that too when my projects are shutting me down. I'm actually like that right now since it's been snowing/freezing raining here for the last 2 days. So for the first time in months no climbing for me this weekend.

That's some genuine sesh, Jefe! I'm on my summer break climbing with a cord in Córdoba. Makes sense, no? Maybe I'll cook up a trip report when we're done. Meanwhile, looking to you guys in Arizona to keep the sesh alive.
Cheers!

No climbing here right now, no skiing either. It's a plumbing day. Have to do it someday, might as well do it on the slushy, icy day.

Tried to climb yesterday, but there was too much snow down to the valley floor.

Time for another photo dump I guess :/)
No offense, but carabiner brakes and Trump don't interest me much :-)

I made progress on my pj- it's hard for me, and I only have about 7 tries in me before my skin is toast.
Here's one of the warmups.

Had a great day in the backcountry in between these back to back storms.
But this next one will probably shut things down for a while. 3ft of snow expected.
Here's some pics of the problems on a boulder I found.
I put a bunch of time in clearing the base and top of deadfall.
The rock required zero cleaning though! So good, and stoked to have a collection of proud easier problems in this zone.
I named it the Creepshow.
Funny though, my crew of grommets is too young to get the names/references- they just think I'm a freak :-)

Blue Velvet

Naked Lunch

Creepshow

Once those were done, it was time to fill in the blanks on some of the surrounding...less proud boulders, just cuz they're there :-)
Sometimes even a small stone can be rad, especially when there are basically no holds on the thing, except for a few, just enough to make a line go.
I actually love this heinous little 3 move wonder. Super sharp shˇtty holds and no feet.
It's kind of an old school problem.

Kinda dorky but believe it or not, it's 12a lol!

ARE YOU SICK OF ALL THIS WANNA BE CLIMBING YET
AND JUST DYING TO ARGUE ABOUT TRUMP?

Fine, split :-)

It's raining and I'm jacked up on the hippie speedball and have some more
lame spraydown bullshˇt to post :-)
Why not? :-)

The Old Canadian alpinist can dis it all he wants- call it a fad, say it's not really climbing...
I say whatevz brah!!!

With quick windows between storms, I've been getting out to the low elevation stones-
This is where I was first introduced to climbing, back before there was a gym in Tucson.
It's an old school Bob Murray spot, and where Tucson climbers used to practice(on tr) for, you know...real climbing :-)

It's a short drive from my house, a great place to circuit, and an epic sunset spot.

Ok one last blast-
Truly my "most recent bouldering sesh"...
from yesterday, at another desert spot, before the weather turned.

The Rails at sunset

After all this practice I think I'm ready to try some real climbing :-)
