I like the bombers' uncle - the one who called them "losers". We could use more guys like him here.

The interview with the uncle was one of the most raw and honest things I've seen on the news lately.

We should continue as we have as a strong nation offering freedom as a way of life because it's working 99.9% of the time, not talk like paranoid losers afraid of fulfilling our nation's creed.

I was thinking about this, earlier. The USA, is built on the premise of assimilating peoples. They become us. They are born here, they are us.

But radical Islam appears to threaten that. They're here, they talk like us, go to our schools, but they are not us. Think about the level of hate and rage it required to set that bomb next to an 8 year old boy, his small Sister and his Mom.

These sociopaths had about as much connection with Islam as the Westburough Baptists have to Christianity.

It's radically extreme fundamentalism of all shapes, creeds, colors and sexual orientations that is the disease and like cancer it exists within all humanity.

Too bad we can't ask that question of Little Timmy Mcviegh.

Radical anything threatens that is my contention.

Agreed. I'm 64 and as long as I can remember, bombs have been going off, in random places. I don't think anything we do will change that. Make it more difficult perhaps, but not eliminate it.

But Radical Islam is the Flavour of the Month right now. That's where most of them are coming from and more frequently than in any time in our history.

April 19, 1995: A car bomb parked outside the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City kills 168 people and injures more than 500.

It is the deadliest U.S. bombing in 75 years. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols are convicted. McVeigh is executed in 2001 and Nichols is sentenced to life in prison.

the most dangerous enemy to the US is it's own deranged wingnuts.

Like Sandy Hook wasn't an act of terror or the shooting at Virginia Tech?

What the f*#k is really with Ron and his hate towards Islam? He is one sick little scared man.

Now that i think on it, the last time i actually thought a president to really be thinking was a brief moment when LBJ said in a speech,,"I shall NOT send good american boys thousands of miles from home to do what the south Vietnamese boys should be doin fer themselves"...
]

yet that is exactly what Johnson did do, he dramatically escalated our "involvement"

and 50,000 American boys died in Vietnam

guess that President wasn't really "thinking" so good when his actions directly contradicted what he said he would NOT do

Sept 11, 2001,, THE most dangerous day for America since Pearl Harbor. Islamic extremists(mostly saudi) flew planes into the twin towers killing nealry 3000..

Ron wrote: Nope Bob.. I was never for that "war". I too wondered why we were there.

Yes you were...you voted for Bush.

It was a radical christian war...Bush "was told" by God to INVADE Iraq.

It is amazing to see such a devout christian like Cragman encourage killing...just like Jesus would do.

This one surviving terrorist will have a long list of supporters who feel he deserves his "Miranda Rights", and the right to due process.

As an enemy combatant guilty by his own admission of terrorist acts and capital murder, he deserves NONE of those rights.

Totally disagree with you on this, my brother.

He tried to damage our system, our way of life. He tried to make us tremble in our streets and homes. We can only prevail when we reject the idea that since he didn’t play by the rules, we don’t have to either. He deserves every freaking right available to him. Unlike his consideration for others. He will still go down hard without being sent to GitMo and water boarded.

We have to be bigger and better than these as#@&%es. He and his ilk want to destroy the Constitution. We have to defend it. Rule of law and such. Especially now.

I think people can be wayyyy to much of a dick to Ron and TGT. Mostly Ron, who never says a mean thing to anyone... sure he can be wrong but yeesh, you gotta let a few slide guys. lol.

edit to add:

I genuinely don't feel any better knowing that obviously sick people get treated worse, or tortured, or any of that sh#t. Whatever is wrong with these kids, it isn't something that I will be sated by their pain. That does NOTHING for me. I want them to go away and I don't want to see them again or hear of them. In a dark room in some desert somewhere. Done.

Yes, he should have rights because sometimes, sometimes we get it wrong. Is this a case? No. But it's all or none, no court of public opinion overrides it. Sorry... if for some reason it makes you feel better that we take shortcuts, well I don't see how that changes anything.
