Kill him. Remember what he did to a little boy, his sis, and their Mom.
This fuxker put the bomb down that killed little Martin Richard, AND RIPPED THE LEG OFFF HIS F*#KING SISTER!!!.
When are we going to get real about Islamic terrorism? When it kills one of your's?
So your solution is to ADOPT extremist islamic law and practices? Because that is what you are advocating, rather than the American rule of law.
Which the islamic terrorists say is just a front for what we REALLY do.
Why do you want to become extremist islamic in our practices?

I'm happy as a pig in sh#t that they caught one alive.
We had the OKC bombing here, and while there were no tears shed over the execution of Tim McVeigh, with his death went a lot of unanswered questions. Looking back, I wish he was still alive and in a prison cell, like Supermax.
So maybe one day he would break and speak. Terry Nichols got life at the Supermax in Colorado, as did the Unabomber, and I've seen those cells on TV. That does not look like a place to live out a long life. Tiny little sterile cells.
So now that McVeigh has been executed, we will never be certain of the truth, which is mainly concerned with possible accomplices. Nichols was his main accomplice, but he was getting cold feet right before the bombing. It took a lot of work to just put that bomb together.
That bombing was so horrific. I saw the building from a couple of blocks away before it was destroyed, and it was unreal. And there was a day care/ nursery right there. He knew that it would flatten the building, killing hundreds. How can anyone do that? The only good thing was that there were many survivors. The whole city is one or two degrees of separation from one of the deaths or injuries. It injured over one thousand people.
McVeigh used to travel to gun shows and sell this sick book that McVeigh basically imitated. I won't even say the name of the book. If you are a sicko, you can figure it out.
I heard Limbaugh going off on Thursday, comparing this bombing to the old Weather Underground group, one of which is now a professor. Bill Ayers is his name. Limbaugh was trying to paint this as some sort of Obama crap. Limbaugh is a terrible person, but Beck is truly whacko. Fortunately, I rarely have time to listen to the radio.
So within a couple of days, Limbaugh managed to blame this bombing, at least in part, on Obama's acquaintance with Ayers, who ended up as a teacher at a college in Chicago.
Good job taking him alive.

Dear nutjobs: 2 dudes went nuts. They figured out how to make bombs and get guns. Not hard to do . They caused mayhem. One's dead, the other's not going to see the light of day again. He'll get a fair trial so quit your whining about his frickin Miranda rights. Boston celebrated cuz they were all held hostage. Normal behavior.

This has been touched on, but the general populace doesn't even care.
After 9-11, we had the Patriot Act, which eroded our 4th amendment rights. It wasn't patriotic at all, unless you think that living in a bubble is OK.
People have such short memories. J. Edgar Hoover was the head of the FBI for ages. He spied on all sorts of people, and had enough files to intimidate others in government.
Now that we have all of this personal data, what will happen if we have another J. Edgar Hoover?
We have to maintain our rights after these attacks. Law Enforcement should not be a net to study every person. The 4th amendment is very clear.
If we weaken our civil liberties, they win. You can't let 2 guys change how we view our civil liberties.

So some thoughts from last night about the Police scanner.
I really did struggle with the idea of posting it. Early in the day I felt that Brenden and LilaB had a right to it since they or their loved ones were in the lockdown search area. If it had been me in their shoes I absolutely would have wanted it for any possible timely warning if something was happening on my street. That is also the reason I posted the exact location of the suspect in case LilaB or Brandon's family was anywhere near it. You guys were on my mind all day.
However with he suspect on the loose I did not think it best that I did anything that made it even easier for the suspect to gain information of police grid assignments and such. Also from time to time private SS# information from routine ID checks would be broadcast.
Later as it became clear the suspect was cornered and did not have access to anything except maybe a smartphone It did seem that there was less good reason to not post it. It had become widespread throughout the web and certainly ST would not have been a likely place for the suspect to get info.
I still think it in general is very irresponsible to broadcast these police frequencies for quite a few reasons. The main one being that it can put police at additional risk.
There are some compelling reasons to allow them if the public can make use of the information for their own safety and mental well being. Where that is the case then I think the public's good overrides the police security. Public good being the job they signed up for after all. However even then one must wonder if the public good is being harmed and to what degree by the hampering of the investigation.
I suppose it may be a moot point since this type of info is becoming more and more prevalent.

Those scanners for an incident like this don't do sh!t to begin with.
The real communications are all encrypted with secure key loaders that no consumer scanner has access to.
What you are hearing in the clear won't help much at all.
All APCO 25 law enforcement systems have encryption capabilities for real time coms when secure needs arise.
There's other methods also used to remain secure, and I'm not going to into it because it really serves no purpose to the technically challenged here.

I am aware of that Werner but in this case with all the numbers of folks and agencies involved quite a bit of detail was getting through the clear channels. I'm sure you have noticed during ops that protocol is not always perfectly followed by every member.

"I suspect the younger brother took his own life once he was cornered."...
I would have thought so also
I guess his will to live another 60 years alone in a prison cell was greater
although bleeding out and close to death he probably did not think about it as a choice

This recent act did more to counter recent anti-gun efforts than anything I can think of.
Maybe. Maybe not. I still haven't seen an inventory of guns the Chechnyans had and how they obtained them. Since gun legislation got bounced at the Federal level, the action will move to the states.
Seems one of the mass shooters, IIRC the Theater guy, bought tens of thousands of rounds on the internet. Some of the legislation, moving through various statehouses would curtail that.
So, you can empty 10,000 rounds out to get the explosives for a bo#mb.

DD, no kidding. Seeing the Boston locals celebrating this event like it's the World Series or Stanley Cup is perplexing. What are they so gleeful about? Do they have a clue about the gravity of the last few days? It's embarrassing IMO.
Really? Let's see a suspect that less than 24 hours ago was throwing EXPLOSIVES and is known to have automatic weapons is loose IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. Not the next city over or half way across the nation, we are talking there is a good chance this dude is in your backyard.
You think there might be a little relief and reason to celebrate when he is apprehended? Embarrassed of whom, them or yourself?
I hate to come across harsh, but your statement is the usual hypercritical analysis of a situation from the safety of your own home thousands of miles away kinda thing.
