From CNN:

[Updated 10:47 p.m. ET] Boston Marathon bombings suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev is at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Kelly Lawman said.

Meanwhile, Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham congratulated law enforcement on the arrest of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect and noted that the incident should be prosecuted as a terror case. The "perpetrators of these acts were not common criminals attempting to profit from a criminal enterprise, but terrorist trying to injure, maim, and kill innocent Americans," the senators said.

"Under the Law of War we can hold this suspect as a potential enemy combatant not entitled to Miranda warnings or the appointment of counsel."

I'm glad this is over, and I sincerely hope the political puppet show over this doesn't result in the death of more people.

Are you kidding? it's just starting here in the good 'ol USA. By the yr 2017 u'll see this a 100 times on TV.

I guess innocent until proven guilty in a court of law doesn't really matter in this case.

If Tsarnaev dies in custody, I can see conspiracy theories for a long time. Think about it: a city in total lockdown (Marshall Law, essentially) by police over two unsuspecting Chechens with no ties to much of anything noteworthy, and both dead. Make up you own story that fits the occasion. As horrible as it was, a perfect exercise, of sorts.

Nope!

What she said!

Lindsey Graham Should Get A F*#king Grip
GOP SENATOR: Boston Suspect Should Be Held As 'Enemy Combatant' And Should Not Have Miranda Rights Read

This disregard for the US Constitution is far more frightening than anything a terrorist could do.

ANYONE who suggests that suspected terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should not be read his rights as enumerated under the Miranda Warning is an idiot.

Do I hope this guy doesn't "make it"? Of course I do. Do I hate him for what he has done? Of course.

But like it or not, Tsarnaev is an American citizen. He gets due process. That's it.

If we abridge the Constitutional rights of this piece of sh#t, we will be doing more harm than he or his brother could have hoped for.

Everyone is talking about "Boston Strong". If we sell the Constitution down the river out of petty vengence, what is there to be strong for?

Chechyna has been a violent place to live since before the Mongol hordes attacked it in the 13th century to when they fought the Russian army to a standstill in the 1990's. Seriously they did.

The regions leading economic activity is kidnapping for either ransom or selling young women as brides to men they have never met.

Kidnapping victims are rarely killed while government officials in Chechnya who try to stop it usually get a remote-controlled car bomb
for their efforts.

And all we want to do is kill him.

nope

we sure did NOT want to kill him

we could have riddled him with lead at any time when we knew he was hiding in the boat

we wanted him ALIVE

we want to interrogate him, to know everything he knows, who he has talked to, etc

you are joking now Blue

by the way, our intelligence people know exactly what information they want him to tell

because the more we know what he knows, the more likely we are to maybe prevent something like this horror (nice little boy) from happening again

NRA Vice President Wayne LaPierre, fresh off his controversial GOP-sponsored "F*#k The Newtown Families" tour, has weighed in on a brewing controversy surrounding the Boston Marathon bombing: What, if anything, a more heavily-armed citizenry could have done to prevent it.

His conclusion: That since people can personally carry pressure-cooker bombs, they constitute "arms," and are therefore protected under the 2nd Amendment. "The fact is that US and Massachusetts anti-pressure cooker bomb laws have merely disarmed the law-abiding citizenry," LaPierre told a press conference.

"When pressure-cooker bombs are criminalized, only criminals have pressure-cooker bombs."
LaPierre went on to suggest that if the Boston Marathon runners and spectators had each been issued a personal pressure-cooker bomb of their own, that they could have defended themselves against those of the Tsarnaev brothers.

"At least it would have given them a chance to fight back," LaPierre said, noting that a greater number of explosions would have increased the chances of getting the perpetrators. LaPierre also praised a new Texas law spearheaded by Republican Governor Rick Perry barring police from confiscating pressure-cooker bombs or gathering information about them.

Gitmo and calls for a separate 'military justice' (an oxymoron at it's finest) simply shows the world we have no faith in our own justice system. It's another sign OBL really has achieved his goal of us destroying our own Constitution and culture.

NO MIRANDA RIGHTS

WASHINGTON -- A Justice Department official says the Boston Marathon bombing suspect will not be read his Miranda rights because the government is invoking a public safety exception.

That official and a second person briefed on the investigation says 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will be questioned by a special interrogation team for high-value suspects. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to disclose the information publicly.

The public safety exception permits law enforcement officials to engage in a limited and focused unwarned interrogation of a suspect and allows the government to introduce the statement as evidence in court. The public safety exception is triggered when police officers have an objectively reasonable need to protect the police or the public from immediate danger.

Lest you all forget. The real issue here is that some 200 people were either killed or maimed. I doubt that the 19 year old was religious at all.
