because the more we know what he knows, the more likely we are to maybe prevent something like this horror (nice little boy) from happening again

No one can prevent this from happening! And it's going to HAPPEN more, and more!

Jesus said; "God put certain men in political seats and it is for us to follow abiding ly"

You and i are but sheep, and ours is not to question why. Ours is the question of Love Or Hate.

An eye for an eye; or to provide Grace.

Lest you all forget. The real issue here is that some 200 people were either killed or maimed.

zBRO, I CONCUR!Everyone says ONLY 4 were killed an that's good. And it kinda is, but the "wounded" have lost limbs. They are f*#krd!May God bless them!

Don't you agree with the way they proceeded?

How would you do it different?

We have a legal system and a Bill of Rights. All Americans have certain inalienable rights. This guy, even if he is proven guilty, is protected by those rights. America is supposed to be different. We are not a mob, we are not a police state under martial law. If we can just throw civil liberties and the rule of law out the window when they are inconvenient, they really are not worth anything at all.

^^^^ I didn't think libertys were thrown out the window!

I think they were repressed each time that kid through a bomb or bullet at them.

But as soon as he has a wrinkling of consciousness, he'll get stomped with a Miranda!

Give me a break. The public safety exeption makes perfect sense. I'm actually shocked that such a common sense law exists. We are all so relieved that he was captured alive. So proud of the way this was handled.

Wow. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; I guess that doesn't apply here.

lol at miranda rights.

I long ago knew i had the right to remain silent. Anyone who dosn't know their rights is a moron. Like I need your idiot ass to read them to me?

Hell I have the right to try to cut out my tongue if I feel like it and you dont stop me.

WHAT THE F*#K IS WRONG WITH THESE SENATORS.

Shall we destroy all that America stands for because some idiots with a bombs killed a few people or will we honor the sacrifice of a MILLION of our fellow contrymen who gave their lives to protect the rights that make AMERICA even worth shedding a tear for???

Now begins the real battle against the forces of evil who will tell you that you need 24/7 camera surveillance and that the UNPATRIOT act is good and should be even better.

LAND OF THE FREE HOME OF THE BRAVE

we shall see... last time... not so much.

So far from what I heard on the scanner live as it happenned.. I have no problem with the handeling of his capture they even called for medical attention immediately... I do have a problem with SENATORS suggesting that this captured unarmed wounded and completely subdued suspect does not have miranda rights. SENATORS!!!!!! who are sworn to uphold the constitution.. the second highest tier of representatives of the people.

And ron I have always cheered your very correct assessment of our current laws. Not often but always

His wounds probably limited his ability to move more than did the city lock down. But emptying the streets made the manhunt much more effective. The two being sought apparently felt the manhunt was effective and so attempted to make a run.

The throwing of grenades and bombs during the car chase and the many other munitions found suggest to this observer they were not noobs to bomb making. The investigation needs to throw a wide net. I would be very surprised were there less than two uniformed personnel tasked with watching this suspect 24-7.

Guaranteed he'll get a trial. He is an american citizen and to deny due process would be admission that we're losing to the forces of terrorism as we strip individual rights to battle the unseen enemy. It looks increasingly like the older brother was recruited and corrupted within the last 3 years. The people that have known the two seem to describe them as not anywhere near the kind to have done such an horrific thing.

I am hopeful from what I have seen that those actually in charge of this persons arrest are much more honorable than the Senators who will be attacking freedom in a much more direct way than these bombers ever did...

The bombers are mere criminals and terrorists.

The Senators sound like TRAITORS. Not run of the mill traitors but TREASON of the highest order. Becuase they are sitting Senators.

The Lebanese-Australian sheik should be in prison for his hatemongering. This is the main guy the older brother was inspired by. This guy is a total creep. Read what he says about women and rape! Because of the legal system if they charge him a certain way, we'll likely not get the younger brother's story because he'll clam up.

A question. Based upon posts here, would the posters on ST all receive a commendation equal to that accorded the 19 year old? Or would we fare worse?
