Climbed the Dana couloir on Saturday. Got a nice view. But seems like they closed the road to the gates again.

Lynne, the Pass got dusted with snow yesterday...so pretty!

More of the same today and tomorrow....nothing that will effect the timing of the opening on Saturday....and with all the moisture up here, everything smells GLORIOUS!

See you soon!

I'm pretty sure that penny I found was dated around 1888 or so. Pretty sure it fell out of a hole in John Muir's pocket. Don't know what happened to it but that arrowhead that TMJesse found was almost like a spear point.

It was a grayish-green and big arrowhead made of chert; probably 3-1/2 or 4 inches long. I turned it in because it was obviously going to be found (near the parking lot). The NPS archaeologist said it was a minimum of 600-years old, predating most everything of what's normally found around there.

Beth, miss you, even tho we don't connect that much.....mostly due to me working to much and not getting out to JTree as much as I desire.

Please, let's connect this summer. A climb, hike or overnight backpack. Steve's invited too. I have lots of gear. :D Really mean it. Please keep in touch.

Cheers and Peace, lynnie.

PS, Do you have my cell? If not I will email it to you.
