Hmm pretty open. I was thinking about climbing mid week maybe and been trying to organize touring partners since my sled is still on the injured list. I must warn you though I snore so bring your earplugs ;)

Jim, sorry to find out it was you I walked by at the first aid shack. You have some amazing terrain up there. Get fixed up and re-habbed.

Cool Bruce. I'd like to spend new years with Sandra so that would work well.

when Jim was writhing in pain on the snow i gave him a sceptical look and said "10 minutes or i'm outta here dude"

Was there a communication problem?

But good thinking, Greg, and good to see Jim standing, if with a little help from Tim. May recovery go well.

and good to see Jim standing,

The expression on his face is interesting. I can't tell if it's pain, or if one of the S&R guys slipped him a shot of morphine.

But, kidding aside, I'm sorry to hear this. Best wishes for a complete recovery Jim.

Rices... I like that ;)

I went for a little walk today.. I was supposed to be with Sandra but when we got off the gondola her highback was missing from one of her bindings so she went back to the truck to try and find it. I went on alone and made my way to the rock hard boot pack up the back of the glacier. Then I continued up Disease Ridge.

More soon. I'm gonna edit them a bit since I think they should turn out nice..

Ya Slr!! People ask me all the time which one is better, Whistler or Blackcomb? I always reply "It's like comparing apples and oranges. You can't. They both have their merits and weaknesses. Truth be told tho I have a soft place in my heart for Blackcomb. The fall line is much better and there is more steep alpine terrain.

Living on the north side of town the parking makes it logistically easier, and I find the terrain opens quicker with better steep stuff in the sub alpine for those deep days.

Not to say I hate Whistler or anything like that! There are plenty of neat things to do over there and my favorite thing lately seems to be enjoying a bit of both worlds! The peak to peak has made that reality very much easier logistically speaking.. you can go from one mountain to the other in 15 minutes or so!

I never ski Whistler
Did it once
Why bother when Blackcomb is right there?
Banff is closer, so that's where I go now

Nice Jim! You got 420 too!! ;) I've never done the whole traverse. Tried once, we got weathered out behind decker for a day and elected to return rather than continue.
