Not exactly shredding, more like plodding. Ferretlegger and I heading out Glacier Point road for some snow camping. We've been skiing a lot so we decided to snow shoe for a change. It was beautiful full moon but too freakin' cold (6 degrees at night) to pop out for pics. Also my camera battery discharged due to such cold so only a few pics.

Headed down ... The pulk was my birthday present but Michael is doing the test drive (as well as we're headed downhill)

As usual I'm humping the pack.

Stamping down our spot

HOT CHOCOLATE

The only vista I got...so bummed my battery discharged

We have a great Black Diamond Bibler Bombshelter tent but its a beeetc to put up...regardless...a good time had by all...

12/30 back country on St. Helens in fabulous sunshine. 1/1 Mt. Hood Meadows. The thermometer said cold - but the sunshine and no wind made it glorious.
We invade Idaho soon, and whip through Whistler in April. Watch out - lady driver....

a look across the canyon at the "vagina" chute. PC guide book authors renamed it the "wineglass" wtf

As we would say over on TGR...

That video was painful to watch. If that was my goPro video it would have been deleted, not posted. My favorite part was his constant struggle with putting gloves on and leaving his own pair before going to rescue. Oh yeah and only one guy digging.

Susan nice sled! Looks like you guys had a blast! That is what it's all about!

Seamstress! Nice to hear from u! Hood looks cool, still have to go check it out.

Obviously the person who shot that video had very little clue as to what the proper procedure should be...

Here's another tough one..

Blackcomb Peak and Disease Ridge

Dis Ease

Walking up the ridge

The sunset was beautiful

My line, a little tracky but still good :)

Just before I dropped in

Looking back up at Blackcomb and Disease

One more sunset pic..

Then I shredded home, back to the valley whence I came.

Here's some of my favorite shredding media. An awesome web series that documents some of the pioneers, legends, & film companies that started it all.

Powder & Rails

Favorite episodes: Jamie Lynn, Farmer, Salasnek, Iguchi, Tom Burt, etc.

Enjoy!

Good stuff Ryan. When I first started snowboarding, I would get every snowboarding video and get pumped. I was into all the freestyle boarders and was always bored when tom Burt section came on. The last few years I don't go into parks and now prefer to watch Burt over that tomato dude anyday. Burt is a pioneer and a lot of the freestyle guys have brought their skills to big mountain boarding. The evolution of boarding and skiing in the last 20 years is insane.

Mike you have a great eye for photography, that second shot on the previous page Dis Ease. Wow. Keep it up man and you just might get your own appreciation thread.
