I think one could use a ClimbAddict chalkbag for a lotion holster if they wanted to. They can also pull down as a fancy beer cozy, a dog walker's treat and baggy holder, and a fashion minibag to wear on a blet at the clubs(so you don't have to worry about setting a bag down when dancing).
I'm taking a break from doing the finishing touches on orders received, and getting errands run in town before the touchdown of our big storm. HOPE it is going to peter out....

Last Update before hunker down in storm!
I am a bit over halfway to the goal - maybe a bit more than a bit more than halfway... but don't let that stop anyone from buying - hahah. Already I have an expense I need to include, the brakes are leaking fluid, and I need to have mechanic take a look. Seems it is simply one of the seals from first set of lines coming from master cylinder, since that area is wet and was not when I first looked at van. Guess because it hadn't been driven in a while. Thinking it will not be a bog expense, but of course just one hour of labor is enough.
Off line for now until the storm breaks - thinking this will be Thursday.
I am in sewing room adding a few styles, but only able to work another hour or so, or risk trapping myself from getting home from downed trees as wind is steadily picking up.
We are in for it here in New York!

I'm still hoping to acquire a standard plastic hammer holster, the type that goes on a belt, with four rivets.

Silver Wrote: Happie hope you are ok after the storm.
Did you get my email and were you able to do a bag for a kid?
I am not 100% sure.... I DID get one email with an order, for 3 chalkbags, one which is the MonkeyShines for a child, with a special request to embroider the girl's name. Is THAT you?
If yes, I did respond to that email, but did not get a confirmation back yet. If that us you - the email must have gotten lost in the ethernet...Let me know and I will resend!
If that is NOT you, then NO - I did not get an email from you. In that case, the last communication on your item was in this thread, where I wrote: Silver - I will work up the pattern over the weekend and see if I can't get it done on next Tuesday. That is "pack up the room" day but I can make the time to get one more bag done. It will be the same style - with brown velvet trim, but about 40% size as the usual ones are.
Please let me know, so I can be sure to get things right!
I did not get to the sewing room yesterday, because of the storm. But - I will go in tomorrow, and intend to do some of the Monkeyshines bags, with either one or two being for child size(one for Silver's daughter).
Then, I intend to do one more day next week, on Tuesday. And then - on the road on Wednesday!
All orders received to date are expected to be in the mail by Saturday, latest. Some have already gone out, others are getting packed up and sent today. EVERYONE who places an order should have gotten an email confirming that order, and also one is sent out once the order has shipped, along with a confirmation number.
So far as I can see, there may be some confusion with Silver's order, but I am thinking that his order/email is the one mentioned above, since I didn't get my response yet either.....
Thanks to everyone who has ordered bags. It has felt VERY good to have some business! Just enough to keep me busy, but not overwhelmed.
Locker - I SO need to get to Colorado... But it seems my migration schedule is not optimal time for CO climbing... What is the weather like there right now? I haven't made my route yet, but would expect that it would be kinda cold to be there mid-November....

UPDATE: Silver - I did NOT get any email directly from you(Also checked trash/spam folders). Tried to send a PM to you from your profile, and the function is disabled.
I am in the sewing room now, working on the Monkeyshines kid's size, but if you have special instructions, I need to know pretty much immediately.
The email address for me is happiegrrrl@gmail.com or climbaddictdesigns@gmail.com

Two kid-sized Monkeyshines hot off the sewing machine and I must say - I think the diminutive size is really adorable! One for Silver's daughter, and the other for the other person who ordered one for his girl.
Now I am working on a pretty stripe in autumn earthtone colors....

Update:
Silver - Your chalkbag is finished. I did get your email on 11/1 and have replied(sent to both email addy you used, and the one you requested to be sent to). If you haven't gotten that email there must be some strangeness in the air - let me know and I will post cel # to call.
John B - yours will go in today's post and will email with Delivery Confirmation.
I have one child's bag to do hadn-finishing, Michele's to hand finish, and try to get one more kid's size Monkeyshines sewn on Tuesday. Then...hoping to get a few new ones done and depending on the weather hope to hit the road Wednesday.
I hear there may be a big storm coming about then and so I am not sure yet though... Not sure if I should stay put for a few days and wait for it to pass. But I really don't want to see snow.... Brrr!
Also - I make hair accessories from vintage sewing buttons, and these make great gifts for climber women(and guys) with ponytails. You can see those at http://www.talismanshops.com
