Hope it is serving you well, MisterE!

Today I am going to spend some time working on one or two pieces I found in the bag which are ones-of-kind and so haven't gotten pictures taken. No family obligation for me today, but I did miss out on a wonderful invitation from a friend due to my poor management skills.

Happy Thanksgiving to all in Supertopia!

Glad you like it!

These two were in the bag of flat ones, and I finished em up the other day.

I have to say, these chalkbags are sweet. The shock-cord on the draw-string is brilliant: super smooth to open and close, and my chalkbag is so soft! It feels like a little mini-hand-vacation every time I dip.

I have had various chalk-bags over the last 20 years, and this is one of the best! A++

Thanks, Terrie!

Thanks for the review and compliments, Mister E!

And also the order, Steve.

While getting those two flats out of the bag, I found another one which I haven't added to the site(there is one more in there too, but I don't have a picture of that one - maybe later on.)

This one, I have two pieces flat, in the Little Dipper size, with a chocolate brown ultrasuede trim.

I have enough boning to finish up the orders from Steve, and maybe I better go pick up some more, since I am in a town I know I can get it at. Damned boning is the most expensive component of the bags!

BlueBlockr, I should be arriving this weekend or early next week. I am taking the scenic route/slow boat. I'll remove that bag from the website, and save it for you to look at.

Cable ties, maybe?

Cable Ties are a good idea. I remember this conversations with Bart from Megalith years ago. Anyone remember the collapsing chalk bags they made, they're a fantastic design and I covet each I have left in personal stock. As for stiffiners, they've been a long standing problem. I'm not sure what Happie uses for her bones but I know what FISH does and they're a pain in the ass!

Keep it up Happie, better you than me!

Fish uses suaged cable, doesn't he? Not that I was perusing the competition, but like a tweeker, opportunity presented itself. Afraid to be accused, I only lightly womanhandled the product, so perhaps I am wrong. But the Fish bag was a hell of a lot more durable allover than what I do.

I tried those ties when I first started out, but didn't have access to ones that were long enough. I would cut the tab off, and they were just the littlest bit too short. There must be adequate overlap to hold, and my chalkbags are a little bit bigger than most people, who the size would be adequate for.

It was only last week that I spotted some longer than the 16 inches or whatever it was I had previously and I considered them, especially since I was having trouble finding the boning. But - it was at retail, and the cost wasn't THAT much less to make it worthwhile. As well, I use a boning which is encased in a fabric sleeve. I can catch that fabric every son often as I stitch the collar down, and that ensures that the stiffener will not collapse with use.

Besides, who doesn't like the idea of getting their hands near corset boning? ClimbAddict bags are sexy that way. They may look like librarians, or hippie chicks, or smart asian cuties on the outside, but inside....they've got it going on.

Thanks Divad,

Teddy saw the vet today and he got some medication to soothe his stomach and hopefully stop the vomiting he had had. Also some antibiotics. Now we wait and see how he does.

The vet said that if he doesn't improve by Wednesday to bring him in for blood tests and other options. She didn't think it was an obstruction to the bowel, which was one possibility. She said he did have some you know what in there, but that he was still passing it through.

I asked if it might be Diabetes, and she said it might be possible, and tested his sugar. It was just a little high, but wouldn't put a dog at that level on insulin. She also said that after he begins eating again, that his levels should be tested.

She said it could be pancreatitis, or just that whatever wretched thing he ate(if that is the cause) is still keeping him down.

The van.... started to run hot again and I am pulled over to see what the level of coolant is. Thinking that this indicates a leak in the system - but that is for the diagnosticians on the Van Thread....
