Stahlbro, great pic, I bet you didn't get away with much with her! She looks like she'd know what you were going to be up to before you did!

Sad.
My mom has been gone 12 years. I do not have a picture of her to upload. That will be this weekend's project - get some photos of my mom in digital format. I so wanted to post her here.

Ditto Seamstress. My Mom died in 1995 at age 69. My bro back in Pa has pics. I wil request he send me some. She was a funloving red head. All our friends called her the "Social Directress" because she always had something going for all the kids. Susan

My sister scanned this for the family calendar. Note the lovely dresses my mom sewed for her girls. She made all our clothes and grew all the fruit and vegetables for the family. We ate out very infrequently, so this was a real treat.
The five of us gave Mom and Dad a top shelf golf vacation for their 40th anniversary. I did a timeshare exchange for them, my sister worked for American Airlines and got cheap airline tickets, my brother got tee times at several famous golf courses, a sister got a luxury car rental for the week, and another sister arranged for various restaurants. We discussed doing it for their 40th since we all had decent jobs. She died 2 years later when breast cancer returned to claim her in less than a week.

These just keep getting better. Wow Clint! Awesome to have those photos. I have very few of my mom and she's still alive. She won't let us take photos. :( Love the photo Seamstress - totally worth waiting for! Anders...we are waiting!

I just got a call at 6:30am. My mom, pictured here with me, is in China, in a hospital in Beijing with what appears to be a burst appendix that has somehow encapsulated. This was supposed to be a great three week trip for her and my step-father. Prayer is appreciated. Her name is Anne.

I am so sorry Daphne! Lots of prayers from this corner.
Bill is saying that having it encapsulated is actually better. It means that the stuff isn't spilling into the rest of the organs, though it does make it harder to clean out.
I really hope for the best. Praying, etc.
(As for the pictures! Thanks folks... You are making this thread so wonderful. I love how we are honoring them, never forgetting their importance, etc. My own Mom died ten months ago so remembering her means a whole lot to me. For those of you lucky to have your moms, give them a hug. It will mean so much more with time.)
