That was some game.

Some of you (you know who you are) will appreciate this Rodgers story.

During his weekly radio show in Green Bay, reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers told a story of how he received the first 'F' of his academic career (outside of elementary school) on a paper in the University of California course, which, unsurprisingly, had about ten other football players enrolled. After his study group received a failing grade for incorrectly citing sources in the paper, Rodgers went to talk to his professor about a rewrite and found himself on the other end of a lecture.

MORE: Who would currently make the NFL All-Pro team?

"She went into this tirade about athletes and entitlements and whatnot. She basically picked on the wrong person in the class because I was probably the best student out of the 11 football players in there. I was second-team all-academic at Cal, if you do your research there," Rodgers explained. "She's looking at me, condescending, talking down to me. And she says, "What do you want to do with yourself?"I said, "I want to play in the NFL."She laughed. She laughed at me. It was a condescending laugh and she said, "You'll never make it. You'll get hurt. You'll need your education, and you're not gonna make it through school here."I said, "OK. I don't agree with any of that."I just want to tell this to you today. "Thank you for adding to that chip on my shoulder and I hope that you're a fan."

Well, the professor was correct about one thing. Rodgers didn't make it through school in Berkeley. He left campus without getting his degree at the end of his junior year, where he would be a first-round draft pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.

I'm confused. I thought they played a whole quarter. Not sudden death. I hate sudden death.

The Packs D and O and special teams all made key errors in that final few minutes Reg and overtime.
The Seahawks had some luck and some heads-up play during that same time frame, especially with their O and Wilson coming alive.
It was a perfect storm for them.

They have to be going nuts in Seattle.

They're crazy there at the start of pre-season. I can only imagine the level of insanity now.

Boo hoo. Didn't know it would be sudden death either. Mixed it up with soccer rules.
Darn darn.
I just can't get behind the Hawks. Not sure why but I just don't have a resonance with them.
I had a nephew play for the packers a number of years ago so I was hoping....

The 'hawks are an absolute lock to repeat.

LOL... HAS to be a troll post.

Not even a trueblood member of the "legion of whimper" (as they were in this game) can be that arrogant after that Keystone Cops showing!

The Seachickens were gifted that game.

Hmmm. Sort of. But by the same token you have to say that the Packers threw that game away.

Maybe it was one of those games that neither team deserved to win.
