Maybe it was one of those games that neither team deserved to win.

I'm good with that. Although, I will say that some of the post-game commentary revealed the extent to which Wilson just would not give up and kept his team fired up. I do have to respect that fire and leadership!

Fire and an unwillingness to give up is the essence of greatness, regardless of outcome. Kudos, Wilson.

Sorry Y'all and Susan; There is a general warm glow of happiness in Seattle tonight, and it's not just from the legal pot. All games can go all ways, and I was nervous before today's game, and I'll be nervous before the Bowl but: I wouldn't count the Seahawks out of anything.

I like to find forces of evil in opposing teams from New England and Anaheim, so Quote from Wikipedia:
"In an incident dubbed "Spygate,"[21] on September 9, 2007, NFL security caught a Patriots video assistant taping the New York Jets' defensive signals from an on-field location. Jets coach Eric Mangini, a former Patriots assistant, tipped off league officials that the Patriots might have been filming their signals. After the game, the Jets formally complained to the league.
On September 13, the NFL fined Belichick $500,000—the largest fine ever imposed on a coach in the league's 87-year history,[22] and fined the Patriots $250,000. Additionally, the Patriots forfeited their first round draft pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. Goodell said that he fined the Patriots as a team because Belichick exercises so much control over the Patriots' on-field operations that "his actions and decisions are properly attributed to the club." Goodell considered suspending Belichick, but decided that taking away draft picks would be more severe in the long run.[23] Gary Myers, New York Daily News columnist, stated Belichick should have been suspended by Goodell for the Patriots' next game against the Jets.[24]"

I'll be nervous too, but it was a pretty decisive win by the Patriots today, giving up 1 touchdown against the up and coming Colts... oh, they scored a bunch of points too and the game should have been called at the end of the third quarter, it was well over by then.

As for "evil," come on Darwin, it's just a game... oh, and the Patriots didn't really seem to be bothered by the 2007 scrutiny, they did pretty good in 2007 if I recall, though they didn't win the big game.

My nervousness will be about how the Patriots will pull off a win against a good Seahawks club.

You can have your points... Go Patriots!

Big bummer for me. No excitement on Super bowl Sunday for me.
Can't get any further West or East so it is nice that both sides of the country are represented but neither team was "mine".

I do bet Seattle is celebrating. That was quite a comeback.

Pats looked impressive. Pete Carroll will have Wilson ready and he won't
almost beat himself again. The only if is whether they come out too slowly
and rely too much on their D. Hawks don't want to get in a shootout with
the Pats. It should be an excellent game with the Hawks' D prevailing, I hope.

If both teams play the game they are capable of, it's hard to call the outcome from here!

Does anybody else think of teams' coaching staff, "I don't get paid millions of dollars a year, and I could make consistently better calls than these guys?" Then, after a loss, the coach is interviewed saying that their mistakes were essentially exactly what I had been yelling for two hours. Yikes! It's maddening.

Of course, sometimes plays just blow up. But it is often the case that I watch defenses using consistently stupid formations that are not working, for quarters on end, and I just think, "How can nobody on staff see what I'm seeing?"

Millions of dollars a year... I just don't know.

LOL... It's just a game, I know.

The boys certainly pulled off the improbable.

But while they may have gotten away with that against an injured Rogers, it won't work against Brady; he'll eat them alive unless they come out playing well from the minute they hit the field.

is bellichick gonna storm off the field again without shaking hands after he loses the superbowl, the little wimp?

hawks give you the most game for your money, but the superbowl will be anticlimatic compared to today's game,

That was the super Sunday ! the Big games.

The Super Bowl will still be a great game. Not anticlimactic at all, the game will not mesure up to the Packers/SHawks game but will be fun.
The Vegas line is nearly equally, SHawks,by 2.5 !
The two teams that played through a very real grind will face off each has strengths and weaknesses.

This could be the Tom Brady swan song. Was His last successful Super Bowl performance
ten years ago?
I think it is his sixth trip and would it be the fourth ring?

The SHawks are going to come out on the attack. that has always been the Pats. weak link the first twenty min. will be telling.

BJ, don't be naive, those refs are professionals at keeping games close, as the NFL wants.
And the network never shows the plays they 'missed'.

Well, of course they couldn't keep it close last year, they have to be relatively discrete.
Besides, it wouldn't have been deemed seemly to have the refs changing Manning's Depends.

The Seahawks will punch the Patriots in the face with their physical style and run away with the Lombardi in front of a loud pro Seattle crowd. Mark it Dude.

GO SEAHAWKS!

The Seahawks logo and name, unlike the other Washington's' team, adds to the spirit and thunder this great team has up here by all people.
