Lot of very funny stories have surface. And where there is myth, it will either be bebunked or confirmed.

Yeah, the drugs are the central focus for a few, but there is a lot more than the drugs for the rest. The stories are really great, and many may not have become rich, but they sure did learn some of life's lessons in the process. There are a bunch of very wise people out there now.

Lois, Raw nerve?- if you were a dirtbag climber™ in thar era (my college transcripts prove I wasn't, BTW)and all of a sudden ganja/mana from heaven rained on you, possibly changing your life, even if for just a while, how much would you want those facts looked into? No matter how good a story it was, and what fond memories you might hold?

Can't see the shetland ponies for the, perceived, Zebras.

Okay, take me out and shoot me now.

So Licky is really the GHOST OF THE PILOT AND IS OUT TO GET REVENGE!!! DON'T YOU PEOPLE SEE!!!???!!!

Btw, if you had stolen the remains of someone's relative's large plane full of drugs, would you actually talk/meet/not-totally-fear this person? Just a thought...

Anyway, looking forward to Licky's version of the book. JL's version is great. Stalone's movie was TERRIBLE! Your turn...

Thanks Mr. T. What we'll be telling is not the rumor turned legend. I feel I'm repeating myself here for those that haven't scrolled from top to bottom.

Some of the smoke that has been blown (no pun intended) regarding the circumstances surrounding this crash and the plane have been enough for Hollywood to generate a sequel every year. Not to mention the literary efforts of those that...well, lets just say, weren't there.

Again, stay tuned for NEWS...

Damn, I was in the Valley at the time and was tempted to go up there too. Never did though. Don't know if that was a good decision or bad. I remember hearing about it (dining in the Mountain Room) shortly after the event, but I didn't have the gear to get up there. There was quite a buzz (no pun intended) around Camp 4 at the time though, though there weren't that many people around, mainly SAR people. Licky, on the thread you started I already posted what very, very little I knew (or did I e-mail you, I can't remember).

LOL. Hey old man. You can find the old thread with the search button. Then you can edit, find "Patrick Sawyer". So you no longer need to rely on your memory.

And really this is just the hacker experimental thread. LMAO and wishing it was I who figured out how to post like that.

is available on abe.com for like $4.00 including shipping. Just ordered a copy out of curiosity. Licky, it's been a looooooong time coming.
