My last night at home for the next 2 months....Damn straight I'm drinking. Mixed batch. High Lifes and Vanilla Porters at the Barbeque....A twisted tea for a nightcap.

Two cans of the Beast, and I'm flyin'.

Just got out after a lovely 24-hour caving trip in Roppel Cave, Kentucky. We were climbing across the top of a dome about five miles from the entrance, deep in the DFU Zone. Why does everything on my body hurt? Everything. But we cheated death once again.

Need another beer.....

Pete, you amaze me. Nothing scares me more than that stuff you do.

Just got back from 3 days in Palm Desert, visiting elderly friends who vacation there. Some drinking was done, a very little climbing was done. Happy Friday.

Just got home from 4 days of business travel.

Sigh

Have to play honey-do catch-up! this weekend, instead of climbing fun.

Zinfandel for desert, and to ease the travel-pain.

The cat pretended to not know me for a while, but he may be my pal again.

Heidi says she still likes me ok too!

Sluuuuup.

Fritz is that cat's name Hank? I swear my little bastard cat is off doing all these commercials and is hiding the money in off shore accounts. Making me pay for cat fud , liter and toys. That cat needs to kick in his fair share.

Mark: Re your question! We adopted the cat, who was named Peaches. Heidi renamed him Harley, which suits his purrsonality.

I need a drink!

Fritz between me and you, I think Hank is Harley's brother from another mother.

Well, Doc, since you asked and it is St Paddy's I would definitely say Guinness and either Colace or Dulcolax.

Fritz, as I'm sure you know, cats are fickle. But if you ignore them, they will come.

Sprock? Whiskey and Tylenol, bra! Or I as like to say, "Makers Mark and beers"....

We gotta hit the stone, Sprock, been too long!

Last night was my "Friday night" for the week. Dinner with my sweetie and two old friends.
First bottle of wine was a 2009 Adelaida "The Tribe", syrah, mourvedre, grenache and a few other obscure (to me) varietals, accompanying beef and veggie shish-kabobs. Yummy! Then a second bottle, a Malbec from Argentina, with my home-made chocolate cream pie for desert. Pie topped with lots of whipped cream. Double yummy.

Phylyp,

Just because you don't capitalize your name does knott mean you can not capitalize your varietals!!!

And if the above doesn't make sense, have another drink!

Starting out with like, a Molson Canadian, eh?

Well now PTTP! It's still early, but I'll try to catch up. I had a reason to drink this week.

Hey, I can totally do my taxes under the influence. It is called liquid courage, isn't it?
Mind you, I am and have always been a coward so only a few Guinesses. Now if I could just uncurl the wife's death grip on her champagne glass and get her to give me her stuff we
could really get this party rollin'!
