I am sending an email to those attendees who have not posted on this thread within the last couple of weeks, with questions about if they are still planning on attending, and if they wish to sign up for Wayno's bargain dinner plan.

I also looked at my group camp reservation costs, and realized I had originally signed up for only 12 people, and that besides the reservation fee of $25.00, there is a per camper charge of $3.18 per night = $381.60. That works out to about $13.55 per camper for the 4 night stay. I am mellow about collecting that money now, and these things all work out in the end.

There may also be a daily, but minor individual charge for excess vehicles, but I can't find information on that for group camps.

Wayno posted this suggested menu a while back and we just discussed it on the phone.

Monday- Carne Asada & Heidi's Fiesta salad.

Tuesday- Pasta feed. Noodles, meat sauce, Italian sausage and mt.balls, garlic bread, Ceasar salad.

Wednesday- Pollo Verde. Stewed chicken in a green sauce, made into burritos with rice and cheese, and some of those "kosher" pork riblets that Fritz mentioned.

Thursday- Short ribs and fixins?

Any suggestions?

I'm going to bring a couple cases of a variety of good and inexpensive Italian wines that people can try. I encourage people to bring their favorite domestic stuff so we can compare and contrast.

Meal cost is estimated by Wayno as $5.00 per dinner for 20 people and $4.00 for 30 people. I have to roll with his professional cost estimates, but some here worry that he is doing the work and shorting himself money-wise. Heidi and I are also contributing, ice, “kosher”-pork-riblets and some other side dishes.

Let’s count on $25.00 per person total for 4 dinners, and plan on contributing labor, snacks, & liquor. Wayno can also work out an individual wine price.

Everything is coming together rather nicely. I had a nice conversation with Fritz on the phone today and wtf, nothing new, just different, and that is new in itself. We have all the necessary ingredients to let this unfold in a most sublime and pleasing manner. (channeling the Buddha);) ./?+_%

Looks like we'll have to go from "Yes, we're in" to "Maybe."

Mari may have to work that week, so take us off the list of people in the group site. We've reserved a small separate site, so if we (or just I) do show up we'll have a place. And in the meantime, it makes room for someone else in the group site.

I emailed those who had not lately been on this thread, and several more folks dropped out. We are down to a much more manageable group size for a one-toilet camp.

My regrets to those that wanted to attend and couldn't.

Twin Sisters Group camp with check-in on Monday June 23 and mandatory checkout on Friday June 27,does now have room for a few more campers.

Email me or post up on this thread if you would like to camp with us, sans pets & small children.

Also anyone that wants to participate in Chef Wayno's 4 deluxe Full-value Italian dinners for $25.00 total, even if they are not at group camp let me know. Wayno needs to finalize the quantiy of food he is bringing real soon. I put an asterisk * after the attendee name or group to indicate if they are signed up for the dinner plan (currently 20 people).

Namaste!

No problems! I had you on the master gourmet dinner list, just missed the asterisk * when I added them!

One more note on Wayno's group meals.

We have not rounded up a do-gooder that wants to loan us 25 sets of utensils and plates for meals.

If you are attending & have that much to loan, and wish to move towards the head of the "great persons to have around list" let us know. However, for now, plan on bringing your own utensils and plates. You may well want a camp chair too, since we won't have extras of those either.

Participants so far are loaning us.

A deluxe 4-burner stove.

3 large tables for goodies, liquor, & cooking.

A couple large flies in case of too much rain or sun.

A foot-pump hand-washing device that fits in a 5 gallon bucket.

Anything else that adds to our joint experience and or comfort level is welcome, except for (sigh) pets and small children.

Namaste

Preferably before dark.

Fritz, donini, and Wayno: I'll be helping out Wayno with some extra cash to cover expenses of those who have cash flow problems.

P.S. If I drive instead of flying out, I'll bring my Camp Chef 2 burner stove. It's great for making lots of hot water for morning coffee and washing up later in the day.

Moosedrool! From this quote in an email to me: I believe MFM to be in for the dinner plan.

I would very much like to pay the $25 for Wayno's fare at dinner. That is about one meal and a drink at the Mountain Room in Y.V. right now, or close to it & with the tip it's more.

I have been preparing for this voyage of discovery by gorging, not fasting, on Bear Grylls' potato salad.

See, real belayers (like me and Bear and Moosedrool--who is also a leader, of course) dispense with the extras, the so-called "girlie" fixin's like celery, caraway (bleagh!), salt, pepper, olives, eggs, those cute red thingies, or even the usual MOOSE turd bits; we stick to the basics, which are potatoes, onions (raw, lots of raw onions), real mayo and MUStard.

I'll make us up a big bowl when I get there; if I can find some tater-tasters with local knowledge and a stash (of russets!), then so much the better. And Fritz, do you get Hellman's or Best Foods up there? It's Hellman's on the east side of the Rockies, ya know.

And I have been studying up on Idaho law by taking in all the stories about Idaho's most famous lawman, Bo Tully, Sheriff of Blight County.

"The mayo's not real! Run for your lives!"

Got yer email, Moosestool.
