Great to see these pics of Stoney. A few decades since I've been in that neck of the woods. Cut my bouldering/TR teeth there in mid to late 80's. Good times. Met Coonyard there once, etc. And "Hoof n' Mouth" is great work out for a "Dyno in the Dark" lead. I wasn't leading 10b at the time but when I saw it I knew I had that entry move wired and went for it :D

Too bad women aren't as in to standing around with their shirts off as most men seem to be...

Edit;
I guess gratitude is in order that we have been allowed to experience the buffness

I feel the same way.

But it happens from time to time at Stoney, I think Frummy has evidence maybe he will post up.

Jaffe was an interesting guy. You know his dad produced the Dinah Shore show. Used to boulder with him out at ST pretty regularly. Miss that place and the folks out there... much fun.

Paul, what do you mean by "was a interesting guy".....

he was at the StoneMasters reunion in Josh a few years back.... still climbed in those shoes.

I hope he is OK.

Gome..... I stuck with EB's, I hated all of the "boots" that came out in the late 70's.... I had a pair of Chounard "canyons" or something like that....I wore then before I chucked em out a few years ago.... it was like climbing with Plastic Soles.

God Bless John Bachar and Mike Graham for finding Fires and bringing then over to the USA..... it changed my life.

Have no idea. I'm sure he is. I haven't really gone out to SP on a regular basis since 1977.

Paul.... that's a lifetime! Stoney will always be ready to have you back.

And Steiner.... welcome to the taco. So where is this climb you did on TR Tuesday???? "Eye of Faith"

The SPCA is looking for a TR Tuesday coordinator. The last one took up SURFING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and is now addicted to looking at chicks wearing 3 square inches of fabric!!

Thats on South Buttress 2 according to Mountain Project. Really fun route with no bolts. Gotta use a few cams in a little crack and we slung a boulder. We also extended the anchor probably 30 ft over the top of the slab to reduce drag. Man it would be fun to lead with some nice glue ins... Seriously one of the best TRs I've done at Stoney.

Thanks for the welcome Guyman. We've met in person a few times! Im friends with the Josifs, Jah, and Sam E

South Buttress #3 ..... I just looked.

I do think that it is hi time we (all of the Stoney Climbers) put bolted anchors at the top of the long established climbs.... except for the ones with good natural anchors, like Beethoven.

The bolt anchor/chopping should stop.

OH Heck.... its 5:45.... time to tell the Bossman, "Im off to Stoney"

See you

Guy

Eye Of Faith has a really good natural anchor for TRing however I think it would be an exceptional candidate for a sport climb... Not sure of the ethics on this idea but....
